i'm 61 and yes this is true. I worry much more about the ice, I am much less steady on my feet, and it hurts a lot more when I fall, and it takes a lot longer to recover.
Welp, I guess I'm an outlier. Turned 74 in January and still relish a good cold snow storm. I still enjoy stacking the firewood in the fall, putting away the summer patio furniture, tuning up the snow blower, and bringing in the shovels from the shed. (And staying optimistic for a winter storm or two) Am posting this from a cruise ship returning from the southern Caribbean and although the warm sunny weather was fun the storm system northeast of the Bahamas we're passing through now is just as enjoyable. Looking forward to lighting the fireplace Friday night and tracking that potential sysrem next week. No way We would move to a more warmer, dull climate. Oh well....

Yeah that’s had me scratching my head. 4-6 inch WSW for me, but nothing is showing that. Must be betting on high ratio snowfall? Idk.
"Ours is not to reason why........"

If the sum depth of all the morning frost deposits on my shed roof exceeds 0.1 inches, does that count as recognized accumilation?.....otherwise, I'm still at zero for the season; very sad. Really hoping for something these next few weeks!

I miss discussing model runs and the anticipation of the next run.
I also miss pulling all nighters
I empathize with you. I supose you could bifurcate your passion and place half interest on the Nets. They did have a nice win tonight...just sayin.................

Started to grab my car keys for an hour and a half ride north to storm chase the "dusting", but i came to my senses and decided to simply frown and bear it.........

Currently 48/34.
A perfect spring day. This is an example of why the Mrs. and I chose to live our retirement years at this latitude; an opportunity to enjoy the best of all 4 seasons from the comfort of our beloved home. Best to all.

Post here all you like, any good contributions are welcome. But your payment will be your home/cabin during a 2-3 foot event off Lake Ontario.
At least a live video stream.....

A couple things:
1. Who cares what they want.
2. You're like the winter grinch. It gets weird sometimes. This is one of those times.
3. I remember a winter recently where you laughed at March snow and then parts of the area received over 40". It can and will snow in March for the foreseeable future.
4. This is a weather forum. People will discuss weather. This is why I'm a big supporter of you in general. You have the right to discuss your warm fantasies about be covered in sweat, having the swampiest of swamp-ass in the middle of February while Metsfan or maybe Pamela fan you and feed you grapes.
Its sad, that someone can not simply enjoy the little events we receive, and that most embrace, with a smile and some proportion of joy for the moment.
