I'm not sure where some of you are getting the idea of snow on Monday. Please show me one model that brings snowfall, or even flurries to NYC metro on Xmas eve.
Gfs does euro does gfs para icon and ukmet
white rain but if that wave digs more we can get a light snowfall
-
GFS 6z has literally about 4 miller A’s throughout its run. January is going to be a fun month

A SSW is pretty much guaranteed at this point, it looks like a pretty strong event too.
I don't think we'll see anything of consequence until mid Jan but it's not impossible that we sneak something before that.
Don’t sleep on New Years storm

Plenty of chances for this to become a snowy end of December. If not we still have January and I would especially watch February!

Euro has a white Christmas. White rain mostly but we could get a few inches north and west. Still good enough
-
Icon has a white Christmas. Not particularly a lot of snow but snow flakes flying around...we need more support

Pattern looks terrible for the rest of this month
It’s still early but yeah the cutters look horrible for snow lovers. That could change though just no real cold air

Call me crazy but I still think even nyc gets some snow on the back end. The ccb should be kicking as the low is cranks late Sunday until Monday morning....

December usually sucks in EL Nino winters.
January and especially February don’t though. I expect February to be in a fury! A lot of snow and wind that month in my opinion.

For Inland areas and CT only. Rain storm for most on this sub.
Yes but it’s been trending colder and slower thus more drier and suppressed.
Probably a lot of white rain with this in this depiction and some sleet but it is trending colder and we’re still about 74 hrs away from the real show.

That had to make up for the last storm
City either goes to high or too low just like upton

Nam looks nice and wintry for Monday night

Why are people even looking at the Weeklies? Last week it was cold, now it shows warmth.
It's garbage
I don’t look at it past 2 days anymore.

I see anything north of yonkers getting at least an inch. It seems like the precipitation is stalling right around midtown. The atmosphere is definitely juiced up now
-
Light snow flurries in midtown.
-
I’m kinda excited for what the models will show for Monday’s sneaky event. It may be nothing but it may look more suppressed in the future runs which would make it a colder solution.
Edit: Honestly we should be more excited for what the runs show for tomorrow morning too.

I think everyone sees some snow tomorrow with the low dew points but it's not going to accumulate.
It’s definitely going to accumulate especially on grassy areas and areas to our north.
the ground is cold

November 15 to possibly December 27th with no big snows? I'll take it

Not so fast sir, end of December could be a doozy for our area!
-
We might get some heavy snow showers tomorrow that could drop a quick inch or two. The ground is cold so it should accumulate.

I lived right on the water most of my life, wind direction is what it comes down to. A costal front and water temperature are two different things. Water in the 50s is not an issue with the correct wind
Yes and warm water temps will most times fuel the system offshore making it stronger.
