You guys get despondent too easily. Let's just see how the pattern plays out. Remember even if the PV drops down and suppresses everything we can still get scraped by systems as they go out to sea.

Love the optimism. Haveing been through 6 Delmarvalous winters, I know that for the midshore this happens more often than not:
Coastal crushers cruise by: 0 to 3 in.
Southern sliders skip south: 0 to 4 in.
Deform bands dissipate: 0 in.
Always count on subsidence/dry slot

I'm hearing from totally unreliable sources that if we don't see snow this weekend it won't snow again until possibly 2023. Please can someone confirm this?? OMG
I asked my dog, he licked his butt...I think that means 9 more years of summer.

Low of 13.3, clear sky with snowcover and no wind=cold Delmarva

Dust off the rain gauges next 10 days are looking soggy.

I missed all the part 2 action yesterday here. Poorly modeled. All guidance, including the 12z Euro had around 0.4 here with the coastal ccb. By the time the UL energy and the coastal congealed, it was all to my SE. Betwixt and between. I did get 5.2" from part one.
Congrats to all who got the part 2 'surprise'. Amazing pics. Radar was frustrating to watch from here though lol.
Yeah, that was rough watching that unfold. Although, it seems to be a more common occurance in the midshore area with snowstorms.

Any reports from the lower shore after part 2?

Final amount for Easton 4.2". I am glad round 1 over performed, because round 2 just gave me a dusting.
-
Going to close the book on this one. Final amount 4.2" for Easton. Subsidence killed round 2 here in the middle eastern shore.

Heaviest snow of the storm here now. Snowboard measurement is due again tonight.
One thing I’ve learned about southern MD - we usually fumble the opening play but we know how to close!
Glad southern md is cashing in. Subsidence is killing me across the Bay in Easton.

It would be nice to see a few more snowflakes, but I think this storm is done for the midshore area.

Correlation coefficient radar shows the sleet line has gotten north of Richmond, hopefully it stays south of most of us .

I haven’t been out in an hour or so. We may have over an inch. Looking outside it’s whitened up quite a bit.
The last few bands really helped. Hopefully this is a bonus before the low intensfies tomorrow.
-
So far exceeding expectations on the shore, mod snow just under 2 in., temp still dropping, at 27 now.

Moderate snow in Cambridge. It’s a fight between big and small flakes. Everything covered. Probably 3/4”-1” on ground about right now.
Good to hear. Basically same in Easton, might be closer to 1.5" to 2".

Southern MD / Lower Eastern Shore weather discussion
in Mid Atlantic

Coastal areas have been cashing in the past few years and the set up over the next few weeks looks to benefit that area.
Could be an interesting few weeks.
