    Severe weather risk 4/30 - 5/3

Both the 12z and 18z NAM look better than 0z last night as well.

    Severe weather risk 4/30 - 5/3

I would like to see the 12z and especially 0z NAM runs today trend more towards a GFS/ECM solution. I'm okay with a vauge Day 3 as well. Plenty of details to work out still.

    Apr. 2-4 Severe Threat

    Well, HRRRX certainly looks interesting.

    Apr. 2-4 Severe Threat

I wouldn't be shocked at all to see a significant tornado or two tomorrow in the IN/OH/KY region with any discrete to semi-discrete storm that's able to establish itself in the warm sector or along the WF.

    Apr. 2-4 Severe Threat

Only problem with that is it looks to be some kind of MCS feature, not necessarily a discrete storm.

    Apr. 2-4 Severe Threat

The trio of hi-res models (WRF-ARW, NMMB, and WRF-NSSL) all show some kind of discrete/semi-discrete activity by mid to late afternoon in the Northern KY/Ohio vicinity along the northward advancing warm front. Forecast soundings in the region certainly would support some tornado potential if this were indeed to verify.

    Apr. 2-4 Severe Threat

I agree, especially if something like the HRW NMMB verifies.

With that being said, do you feel as though their probabilities are accurate in the new Day2 outlook?

Another beautifully written AFD by Gino. Props.

Probably would help if i changed it from 12z to 18z...

18Z GFS FWIW is much less than impressive
