Complete disaster of a winter continues for NYC & Boston.
And it'll be more of the same until this wretched winter ends.
We were long overdue for a winter like this.

This year, my neighborhood streets would have out performed those winters just on salt depth alone. As always ....
In my hood the trucks were out last night plowing the rainwater. Lol

Yeah should be fun to watch.

Weather Channel quite bullish with the squall potential. Calling for 1-3 inches in NYC.

I’ll take anything at this point. Lol

Animal,,,meanwhile it appears the local mets are snoozzzzzzing on this one.
They’re emphasizing the cold and downplaying the snow.

Albany is going to see a few inches.
And I’m hearing 1-3 in NYC with a rapid freeze-up.

That front picked up steam and blew out of here. Rain shut off like a faucet. Clear skies now here in Brooklyn.

It would be absolutely amazing to me (and disgusting) if our biggest snowfall of the season occurred in mid-November.

Mixed bag here in Chelsea

36 here with easterly winds. No bueno.

Pattern looks very good a week from today and could last 6-8 weeks.
MJO influence collapses and the Pacific jet goes away. Also Jan's temperature departures could drop to 0 or even BN with the cold shots coming through.
Hope you’re right. Love snowstorms. I want to get NAMed at least once this winter.

A couple of very cold days and then Wednesday and Thursday warmer with showers. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

The pattern does not look bad going forward. Plenty of winter to go still.
I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard that this winter.

No problem getting measurable snow in mid-November but we can’t buy a snowstorm in mid-January. This hobby sucks.

Between 1-18 and 1-26 TWC has at least some snow in my forecast on 7 of those 9 days. Of course I take it with a grain of (huge) salt, but it looks like there could be some fun times ahead.

DC gets over 30 inches next weekend
I’ll take half of that and run with it.

20 years ago I would have been really upset, but there's more important things in life...can't do anything about the weather-maybe this year produces down the road, maybe it doesn't. Life goes on...
No reason to get upset. After all, it’s only frozen water falling from the sky. lol

Believe me, I hope your right Ant, but how many times over the years have we been let down on these 10 day out model runs.
I’m not buying until we’re within 72 hours, maybe even 48.

Watch the pattern change in late March or April. Just to torture us in this cruel winter.
