Heavy snow falling again as things seemed to re-fire here on the Tug. Have to be double digits. Will go out and measure soon.

Looks like 8-9” here so far. Probably got most of that in a 3 hour period.

Not much happening off Ontario at the moment. Trying to decide if it’s worth staying up for. What are you thinking Wolfie?

We can still hope it wins one time lol. I always thought it was a pretty good model for LES in the past.

Yeah, according to the NWS the band *should"drop south after midnight.. Flow 280ish which will once again keep me on the fringe lol I think we need a 275 ish here.. Good luck..
A persistent cyclonic flow will circulate colder air across the region through tonight...with H85 temps falling to arnd -12c this evening to -15c by Wednesday morning. Additional support will come in later this evening as shortwave over western Great Lakes makes its way eastward. This will maintain significant lake snows east of the lakes where lake snow warnings remain in effect into Wednesday morning. The steering flow will veer from roughly 260 this evening to 280 after midnight, then to 300 on Wednesday when the region will be found in the H85 thermal trough. While this sub arctic airmass will tend to expand the lake snows over the region (largely due to spray off Lake Ontario)...a crashing cap will leads to MUCH less efficient snow-making southeast of the lakes. Even so, much of western NY to the Finger Lakes will pick up a couple inches of snow on Wednesday.
What’s the best radar site for up here?
I’m not too optimistic about tonight. I have been coming up here 16 years and watched the band sweep right by when it drops south.
Later this week looking good right now though. And I have had 14” here since Friday so I’ll take it.
How much did you get today?

2” so far today. Hope this gets more organized soon. Looks rough right now.

Dendrites trying to improve now.

Graupel has been VERY common in Upstate NY this winter. No deep cold around. Hopefully that changes this upcoming week. What's the snow depth up there?
Maybe 6-8”. Hoping to add double digits to that tonight but going to need a change in dendrites. Had 2” this morning.

Temperatures seem to be wreaking havoc on dendrites here in South Redfield. Kind of a snow/graupel mix. Hope we see it change.

I just woke up. It's snowing pretty good in Cazenovia must've just flipped because I only have about 3/4 of an inch
About 1.5” since 5am. Big wet snowflakes. Weird to see such a wet snow in mid January. But I’ll enjoy every flake.
