  1. Fwiw a lot of the past hrrr runs never have LI completely switching to rain, mixing sure but no straight up rain storm. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  2. I'll be happy with a 6-8 inch storm since that would be the most snow I've seen since 2014 lol. Though I feel like some areas might overperform, nothing crazy but stuff like 10" or maybe a foot at the very most for some areas. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  3. Well as I said earlier there is a lot of severe activity down south, thundersnow might be a possibly if the low gets strong enough imo Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  4. IDK how it effects things up here but there is a lot of severe weather down south. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  5. 40/28 in Holtsville at the moment. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  6. So my hotel turns out is going to be all the way in Holtsville, so I'm probs gonna miss out on the jackpot zone unless the sy9rm verifies to the east. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  7. In case the immediate NYC area busts, I will apologize in advance lol. I'm a huge jinx when it comes to snowstorms. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah I expect that, I've been to the area before. I just fear any extra issues due to snow or slush Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  9. And it looks like I'll be staying during the Sunday night/Monday storm so I'm pulling for this Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  10. Okay, I was worried despite the snow bot forecasted to be much would slow down traffic. Sent from my Z983 using Tapatalk
  11. Question, so if my family and I were to leave Charlotte, NC for NYC at 2am-ish this Friday night/Saturday morning how much trouble would it be getting to NYC considering the storm?
  12. They also had Bangor and other parts of downeast Maine in the 2 foot plus zone this morning and now they have them mixing for tomorrow lol.
  13. TWC has Boston switching over to rain for a lot of tomorrow, does anyone here actually buy that?
  14. Asked a bunch of imby questions when I was 16 and first joined the forum.
  15. Reading through the storm thread and hearing people stress about mid-level temps really is starting to give me vibes of some of threads for storms back in the Southeastern subforum. Still crazy how a lot of NC has gotten more snow than parts of NE so far.
  16. 33.4 degrees, pretty good snowfall right now. Already accumulating on my backyard furniture.
  17. Weird, I am to the north of you yet my temp is higher. As for the dewpoints I must be reading the mesoanalysis wrong.
  18. Still 36.5, I do not think the temp is gonna get any lower here, I guess the dewpoint is too high for most of CLT. Still sleeting pretty good though.
  19. I'm in the Derita/Croft area like a mile or two north of 85 and a mile or two east of 77.
  20. 37.6 with sleet, I think it's mixing in with rain, not completely sure.
  21. I assume this is because of the UHI, I feel like this could be really bad for us.
  22. The current surface map, our CAD high is the 1038mb over Illinois right now. Encouraging that it is strong but Im worried that with precip having the potential to start early that it might not get here fast enough.
  23. I don't know why you're worrying lol, chances are you are going to be getting a nice thump of snow being in Mooresville.
  24. Rock Hill, Ballantyne, Pineville, etc. all get clobbered with ice.
  25. The FV3 is going to replace the current GFS in about a month.
