It’s funny that people complain when there’s nothing to track and then when there is something to track people find reasons to complain yet again i.e. it’s going to cut inland, it’s too offshore etc etc. What I’ve found out after 40+ years of tracking potential storms, the most fun is in the actual tracking and not necessarily in the results we get or don’t get. Don’t get me wrong..I love the blockbuster storm results but tracking and discussing the potential results is the most rewarding part of being a weather freak. And so we track..

it has to ease at some point
With such a great pattern it’s so f’n frustrating. Inland runners or suppression storms. Hopefully we get one good storm before the pattern flips.

Suppression sucks

And to think I left the South and moved back to New England because I missed the snow..sigh.

Seeing snow in parts of the southeast is very depressing knowing that many of us will be all rain later on .
True..but we have a much better chance of seeing other snow possibilities this winter than they do. After living in the south for 10 years, there was one winter it snowed and parents had their kids out at midnight to play in the snow before it turned to rain. I say let them have this one. We’ll get ours.. possibly next weekend

East Greenwich is definitely East RI. Western RI is Westerly to North Foster up to Mass Border . The weenie spots from Foster to Woonsocket will get the most from this. Perfect position to get the band. Why won't you join together with the band....

Yeah, the western side of the bay...?
Are we really arguing semantics here? The east side of the bay is the RI/ Mass line. Just let it go dude.

Pretty sure this is the type of stuff that gets you moderated around here. I think you should tamp it down a bit, maybe even try to put a negative spin on it.
Haha I hear what you’re saying after reading all the meltdown posts. I expected at least being given the beloved weenie award

East Greenwich is eastern RI?
I’m a mile from Narragansett Bay so yes

I’m pumped for this storm! Here in eastern RI we should get banded with with some great snow rates. We are usually on the rain/snow line so I’m savoring this moment even though it’s not a blockbuster. I’ll take it!!

So horrible that with all our technology available to us that lives are still in danger. The candle factory was operating at the time of the storm with 110 people in there. Why? Wasn’t there warnings issued about the TDS? Just so sad.
Powerful Multi-regional/ multi-faceted east coastal storm now above medium confidence: Jan 29 -30th, MA to NE, with snow and mix combining high wind, and tides. Unusual early confidence ...
