Updated Central Park Observation: These measurements were taken at the exact same spot. As of 10:15 17.5, 17, 17.5, 18 Average is 17.5 Temp 30.2 degrees Less frequent gusts appear to reach around 20-25 mph Activities witnessed; Sledding, picture taking, small snowball fight, attempts at snowmen, dogs frolicking

Yep, that's why I made sure to measure in an open clearing on flat, uninterrupted land and take multiple measurements. I'll do the same at 8am... if i don't sleep through my alarm.

my plan was to measure at midnight then again at 8 am. CPW is 3 blocks away from me and a hot toddy in my cozy apartment is keeping me lazy.

Central Park West Observation- I took these measurements at the ball field by 81st and CPW entrance from 12:15-12:30am 8.5, 9.0, 8.75, 9.0 Average is 8.8 Inches Temp 29.8 degrees Gusts appear to reach around 40-45 MPH `Activities Enjoyed; Swinging, snow angels, sitting on a bench
