06z HRRR way west for Wednesday compared to 00z. Impressive overall environment in place by 14zish across the 39 corridor.

Big question on my mind, does the SPC push the Moderate Risk eastwards given what appears to be better clearing than model guidance expected plus these remarkable short-term models showing at least a couple rotating storms moving thru NE IL.
It'll cover a decent chunk of LOT.

Columbus is the only Midwest city to gain a large number of new residents. You don’t become number 14 for losing.
Why do any of us care

Latest HRRR runs really putting GHD to shame. Mammoth amounts of 3" for the burbs. Best hope that LES isn't the usual HRRR bullshit.

Experienced some of the heaviest snow I've ever experienced around 1:20PM in Rosemont. We meme around about dinner plates but man these things were GIGA dinner plates.

Right before a minitorch to end January and again on day 10, with a nickel-and-dime system in between to kick off February.
Meanwhile, the 00z GFS is a shutout for a majority of IL, IN, and OH.
Heading to February, the MJO is supposed to fluctuate between phases 6 and 7 before eventually settling into the latter phase.
Ty I was waiting for these.
