Hope things hold up for your party and the balloons launch. I gave up on the party's 2 years ago. I always had bad luck.
It's my wife's 40th party today/Balloons that won't go up...
Last night they went right over our house, but I was playing softball

Are the storms in western PA the ones getting us later or will something else develop?
Terrible timing today...and any chance they are more isolated and could miss areas?

Euro has scattered storms mainly north / west for Saturday I'm sure it'll change 100 times with timing of the front.
Thats what I was seeing too. Mostly to the north of us, but definitely will change 100 times.
Do you know if they will be coming from straight west or more from the north/south? That makes a huge difference in my area whether we get hit or not.
-
Is Saturday going to be storm after storm potential or hit or miss ones? I have about 70 people coming over. Sunday looks nice, but only low 80s and I hate changing it.

Ask @Poker2015, it usually breaks up around here. This is insane right now. Torrential rain, huge lightning bolts, and some of the loudest thunder I've heard in years.
1.13" in that crazy storm...we only get it when it comes from the southwest or northwest...straight west it splits every time!!

I’m about to take a ride out to see if I can find any damage.
I don't think anything dropped, I'm on that map and not even a leaf in the pool

Decent downpour in Somerset County right now. Looks like a close call for me. I don't know if it's gonna hit me or miss me just to the north. I might just get brushed.

2.18" across town, but if I look a few miles to my west they are easily over 3"
thats like the equivalent of you getting 6" of snow and me getting 10"+, lol

That heavy stuff you experienced earlier skirted me a bit. This one was pretty nice. Non stop lightning and thunder and .40" of rain in 15 min.
You beat me that one, only .3" from it here

Another big Sept rain event between roughly midnight Friday morning and midnight Sunday morning (bulk 9/29-30/2023)
in New York City Metro

For western areas it is pretty much done...No one really cares about light rain for the next 24 hours that adds up to under 1/2"
For everyone else, far from over...
