Heavy snow currently falling with a temp of 28F, and falling it seems like. Once again the flakes are perfect for accumulating sufficiently. Actually, some of the best flakes I've seen in a LES storm but that usually happens in November but it gets like styrofoam in Jan-Feb, lol. I am literally straddling the Northern most fringe of this band as the snow shuts off I'd say about 5-10 miles to my North, if that far. I just took another glance at the radar and it looks like more action is building over the Lake, so everyone might get in on some showers action real soon, but it continues to snow hard here! I'm a happy camper right now cause it's not often that a band stays overhead for too long as I'm in a transition zone, but we get em when we have a several lake connections seeding this beast! I'll tell you what, I'm definitely not going to do what I just did, this winter, that's for damn sure. Basically just sat in front of my laptop just waiting for this intense single band to drop South out of Northern and Central Oswego County to the Southern part where I am, and I'm sure we all witnessed what happened to that band, as it dropped. What an absolute disgrace, seriously though. Just totally fell apart as it came ashore. It's not like it lost any significant variables as to why it fell apart so quickly,, so WTF made it fall apart like it did? I was like it hit a brick wall, as the greens and yellows turned into blues and browns, lol. It super early in the season, I know, so I'll stop now, lol! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

KBUF need to get the interns away from the forecast stations now that Winters back. What were they thinking with such paltry totals in the hills South? What did they have like 3-5" in that area. Fun tracking the next couple weeks that's fer sure. I seriously doubt anyone sees over 1' but that's just me. I'm happy with a dusting tbh, but that synoptic system for early next week is looking more and more interesting. Looks like the Euro has some GGEM support but who really knows. I didnt even know KBTV was still running that relic, lol. When was the last time that meso-model got an overhaul, lol? No one should be taking any one model at face value from a week out, just sayin. I doubt anyone sees anything of significance but the shot of cold, that's shown on most models now, is the most interesting part, and it means business but too early to lock in just yet, but a nice harbinger of things to come!
