  1. There's no way Pulaski got less than an 1" as that's just nuts. I think you, wolfie, should drive down and check, or drive up, lol. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. Snowing better today than it did all night, go figure, lol! Anyway in East Syracuse where the radar has pretty much no returns is quite deceiving because its snowing throughout CNY and the radar is doing a bad job cause alot of it is low topped so the radar is overshooting the cloud tops as their only 7-8000ft high as the cap came down some since last night. Lapse rates have risen a bit today with CAA and snow growth is very low once again and very efficient for accumulating so I'd expect at least 2-4 3-5" for the day easy to put totals close to a foot around the area. Dont know if it was worth the warning, still debating. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. lol, the temp will notvbudge even with a stiff NW wind, unreal! It's like theres an imaginary wall in the way of us. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. Its actually heavy here as I'm under those heavier returns down near Phoenix and Fulton but still plain rain at 37F! The temps are straight stuck on 37 and its been there for hrs and hrs, lol! Wait, my bad, it actually went up a couple ticks to 39F from WU. Dont know how accurate it is, but doesnt matter as all levels are cold enough for snow except the surface, lol! H925 is at -3C so this warm air right off the deck has to be deep enough to change whatever is falling over to rain, wow. Models, like you said last night, between 4:30-5 and it looks like the models were off by a few ticks so a great job so far with thermals from the guidance! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  5. Back to straight rain, lol! I'm done looking, when it flips it flips, unreal though! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  6. Still 37F, lol, pathetic, seriously though WTF? Its just one of those Winters where no matter what happens it just doesn't wanna snow, period! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. Has just started to mix, Lame! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. I think it happens way before 4-5 am, but that is what guidance is showing us, but I think as the surface LP gets going its gonna cool pretty quickly from the top down, so we'll see I suppose. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. After such a depressing mid dec-mid-jan 8-10" will be amazing, lol! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Its raining with a temp of 38 @ 5:30am on January 6th, WTF?? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. Sunny with a temperature of 52 degrees January 6th Syracuse New York can you believe it? I guess that O2 O3 analog can get thrown out the window now, lol! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. It turned to rain that's why I couldnt see the flakes cause it was rain, lol! How pathetic can this Winter actually get, lol? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  13. This I believe is the next real event for the area besides the nuisance stuff tomorrow through Friday. Both the GFS and the EURO have it so we'll see what happens in 6hrs, cause the GFS will lose it for sure. For tonight Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. The cold air is comin for sure but to what extent remains the big question. I just hope the 2 streams can link up for a few good synoptic events as LES events are, quite frankly, inevitable!! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. Happy New Year all, and this may in fact be one of the warmest in recent memory but hopefully it'll turn around soon, and if by chance it doesn't, let's all root for an AN temp regime and the least snowiest of all time. At least we will have attained a pretty incredible record if us ask me but I doubt it happens but we'll see. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  16. Yeah, no longer the snowmobile capital of CNY that's for sure and it's a shame cause when I first moved up here, everyone and their Mothers had one, lol, now they've all been sold for half of what they bought them for, lol! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  17. Another very uninteresting slow start to the snowmobile season. They're practically giving snowmobiles away at some shops in the area cuz they just can't sell them anymore. Ottawa's snow lovers are happy campers this year that's for sure! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  18. Is that a northern stream system driving down with rain cuz if it is that's just laughable Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  19. How is there not enough cold air with that track? Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  20. I don't know what people are looking at but there's no torching going on anywhere across the United States for the next 15 days so I really don't know what people are looking at necessarily but to each his own I guess. by the second week of January I'm pretty certain that most of us we'll have at least a foot of snow on the ground but like everything else we'll see I suppose. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. All I know is this, its Dec 28th and I'm sitting at close to 50" for the season with avg temps if you wanna use Nov and Dec so it's seriously not the end of the world, just YET, except for KROC, you guys are done, lol. Models are gonna do a 180 here real soon and everyone should come down off their ledges, except of course for the New Englanders and the Mid Atl crews, as their Winters were done before they ever started. I expect most systems that come up the ESeaboard may be inland runners as opposed to coastal runners or Benchmark runners so we'll see how that works out as the main storm track has yet to reveal itself so....... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  22. I'm not saying it's going to change but when I see all models acting this erratically run after run then I know somethings amiss and they'll catch on eventually. If they all start showing warmth and rain throughout all model runs then I'd start to worry, lol, but not until then. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  23. I'll laugh my arse off if all of a sudden the models get a clue as to what's really going on with the atmosphere, and its starts showing what we all want it to show, constant snow and cold but not too cold, lol! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  24. Yeah, too bad the Strat warm has a 2-3 week lag, lol, so no matter how we work it out, we're screwed until mid January, lol. Im still riding that 02-03 analog cause it's still right on, but if it doesnt change within the next week going into the new year then something's amiss, so we'll see what happens in a week or so. The pattern has to settle doan, simple as that. The models are all over the place and have been and they will continue to be until one of the driving forces of the pattern takes over and trumps everything else cause the MJO should begin to collapse and I'd imagine the Pac will take over along with the EPO. If we get any sort of -NAO this year, were in trouble as we'll be watching storms traverse the Gulf coast states and right off the SE coast and then OTS. I'm rooting for a neutral to slightly positive NAO cause the storm track is gonna already be across the SE anyway. A -NAO would kill us, but there would be quite a few smiling faces across the Mid Atlantic region that's for damn sure, lol. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
