Would a weaker storm cause a different track? Like more west after landfall than moving SW. Or it doesn't matter.

It's over with its weaknesses is showing. Some rain and wind. Stick a fork in it it's done. Open the beaches back torrommow and let the children play in the ocean.

Am sorry if you live on a barrier island you know you're getting a major Hurricane at least once in your life. Sounds mean, but I have no sympathy.

I feel like Topsail Island will be totally devastated after this. Am gonna hate to see the pictures from that area after this. 

Look I just wish our goverment would spend more on science than defense. Imagine what we could do with half of the defense budget. 

We can develop an atomic weapon in the early 1940's. We can land someone on the moon in 69. We can start to develop a computer in the 80's. We can develop a smart phone which is a very complex device in the 2000's, we can start to develop self automated love dolls in the 2010's, but we cant pin point a hurricane forecast 5 days out. Smh 

Mods delete this if you want to. Look am not a meteorologist nor do I claim to be, but the consensus is getting clear. There is a constant east in the tracks. If the euro goes east again tonight then that's a sign. You have a powerful Hurricane that will tend to pull more to the north. Also given climo in perspective it wouldn't make landfall at all. Am looking at a cape lookout north landfall. I wouldn't be surprised if it just brushes the OBX and OTS. It's not making landfall in SC or south of cape lookout. You have to follow the trends and its east! Models will wobble back and forth every run, but look at the trend. I would bet $1000 doesn't make landfall west of cape lookout and am willing to put my honor and name to it. Rant over!

So am guessing if the euro track holds it's time to buy a generator and a chainsaw if you live in the Piedmont of NC?
