  1. The zookeeper's trying to find a spot under 20". No luck so far. He'll update when he finds it
  2. Yeah, here in Old City im hearing reports of like 16. But walking around this morning, with compaction and melting(?) already, didn't feel like a lot. Definitely not 20", closer to 12" My sister is sending me pics from Carteret, NJ (Across from staten island) and they easily got 2 feet of snow. Historic there. Same as newark airport and areas east of there
  3. This is Carteret, NJ. I didn't measure it but whoa
  4. Love to hear it. Sitting in Old City, Philly rn and its absolutely ripping
  5. can you link to this radar please
  6. Try closing this thread and opening two new ones. 1. (Observations ) 2. (This thread part 2) This would fix people posting in the wrong thread
  7. When this happens, my idea is to start TWO NEW threads: 1. Predictions/Models (like this one) 2. Observations That way people won't keep posting observatinos in the model thread
  8. Can't blame Mt. Holly honestly. Just how the counties are set up. Middlesex county is quite large and our towns are tucked in the very NE corner next to staten island. The other corner of Middlesex county borders Princeton!
  9. Yes sir. Great town, lots of new business coming in the last few years. And have recently started construction for a ferry from Carteret to NYC
  10. Mt. Holly slightly lowered totals on the Western edge. Last map they had Philly in 18-24
  11. Got it, thank you. Appreciate you posting it! Is there any other free sites people use for radar - specifically for tracking heavy banding? That accuweather radar UI is so crisp, love it
  12. how do you get to the site where this is displayed? I see accuweather.com but can't find it there Thank you
  13. Hey neighbor! Carteret is the most NE town in middlesex county though, so usually go with Upton forecasts. I live literally 2 miles from Staten Island haha
  14. I don't think its that serious haha, we're all just having fun. Last minute panicking is part of it. I've learned to enjoy it all the chips will fall where they fall
  15. Of course models are useful and should be looked at. My point is 1 bad model run after 10 good ones and people line up to jump off a cliff. It's just funny
  16. NYC has gotten 10 inches of snow 18 times in the last 25 years. Not rare, but its a big event. And 10 inches is the bottom threshold here
  17. Anyone have recommendations for radar sites to use to track the storm?
  18. People here really live and die by model outputs lol
