    You may be better off getting something such as a Weatherflow Tempest; it's wireless and solar.....broadcasts info to a phone app AS WELL AS built-in data software that automatically sends to Weather Underground. https://weatherflow.com/tempest-weather-system/ I have the older model, the SKY + AIR and it works beautifully: https://tempestwx.com/station/4707/grid

    This is why a lot of meteorologists(broadcast mets especially, including myself) have left the business; it's not sustainable if you want to start a family, save for retirement, etc. Do I miss forecasting every day? Of course, but I also don't want to be working in my 70s(or until the day I die).
