Sun is out and I still have snow? Can someone pinch me??

I know so rare for me in the valley, even deep snows like this are usually mostly gone by this time in the day. See you got a good freezing rain coating also.

Yeah, we had about 9 inches at max of snow/sleet last night. The freezing rain has compacted it to about 6 inches, my 2 year old doesn't break thru the ice layer so is not a fan of the slip and slide!

As much as I want more snow, I really hope we don't get more freezing rain. Evergreens are bending a lot

Our main show is exiting over the next couple of hours. Then we have several several hours of lighter and spotty precip behind.  What Ptype will it be? No one knows lolIMG_1282.thumb.jpeg.df5dfdebcfa630927f70d1ba1fe69253.jpeg

We've had a cycle of massive heavy snow, to tiny grapule/sleet, bigger sleet, snow/sleet, back to massive flakes.

This has repeated every 10-15 mins for a few hours it seems.

Currently sleeping and 23, just shy of 8"

Walden Ridge, as in Signal Mtn. area of Chattanooga, or is there a different Walden Ridge? I'm using TapaTalk on my phone, and American Weather doesn't show locations on the app.

Same ridge just further north between Dunlap and Soddy-Daisy.

  4. Man, reading this forum leading up to an event is peak happiness haha

I'm sorry if this is basic, but when it comes to snow ratios... does elevation matter in this scenario?

I'm at 2100', but I assume the snow formation (?) zone is well above me and ground temps control what precip type arrives versus any type of ratio
