  1. Yup, just a much more mature group. We really should have a gtg sometime this year.
I've been around these boards about as long as Rob. There were two before Eastern, the names are getting away from me though. It's been a fun run for sure.
Doesn't it figure, I didn't think we were going to get power back before the storm so I went and got a nice generator this afternoon. Got it all set up and running and right about sunset the power kicked back on.
So about tomorrow - I'm figuring 10-12" with a fair bit of wind. Sunday really looks interesting too.
    We be mature, mon!

  2. Nice fresh coating.
Hoping the temp goes up just enough with the sun on the car this morning to get either a door or the trunk open so I can take it to my father in laws place and put it in the garage to thaw. If not I'll try again tomorrow or on Friday.
It's THAT solid a freeze? What about purchasing handwarmers and lining them along the doorcracks?

  3. Boy eastern Westchester and western Fairfield counties are going to see some impressive totals from this. That band sat over them for quite some time on its way westward and now has been there again for well over an hour and doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon. Glad I chose not to drive to work in Ridgefield or Westport today :bike:
I was thissssss close to driving into Brooklyn via the city. I concur!

  4. -20?!! :yikes:
Got milk, crunchy raisin bran, bread, liquid bread, rum, wine, a couple different kinds of cream whiskeys and coffee. I think I'm ready.

    All you need is rummmm

I'm actually really unsure at this point whether to test out Subaru's AWD and work tomorrow or just stay up and wait for the first flake to fall on my forehead...

    Thoughts ANYONE?

  5. Wow. Just south of me the Somers Meso has .75" so far today and about the same distance north the Brewster Meso has 2.43" so I don't quite know what to make of it. I know for a while it wasn't raining much here but was pitch black to my north so I'll guess that I'm probably in the low 1" range. It's absolutely pouring again.

Hoping Barbuda doesn't get wiped clean off the map  Then St Kitts/Nevis sometime overnight appears to be in for the same thing.

See attached approach.... was fun to drive in! And no, I was not holding the phone while driving. That was my passenger 2433c61c4c03bb96ef09807cfbce2743.jpg

  6. My wedding is Sunday in Port Jeff. Hoping it doesn't rain for the ceremony at 4 which is outside. After that I'm not too concerned as the reception is indoors.

Congratulations!!! Even if it does end up raining, may that be the worst of your concerns to ever have to face together
