  1. I hear ya, but it's also why i take a break from here occasionally.   too much bickering , and not enough listening.

It's like everybody's an expert on everything these days.  They 'google' stuff and all of a sudden think their a rocket scientist.

  2. Loser, you are digging your own grave or at least the grave of your kids. You would be off balance too if you understood what the fu** actually happens in the world. All you see is that reds flag flying in your face.

People with low standards like yourself will be forgotten. If you are going to be passionate about something, at least get your facts straight and don't root for something queer.

    danggggg....bruh

  3. In hindsight, apologies for the rant. Unabomber did some horrendous things and I am not affiliated with him, he should of went down a different path if he really wanted to make a difference. Good to see you guys are dissecting what is important tho.

Interested where you found those excerpts... ?   The 68, 119 stuff.

All legitimate stuff,  even though it's in our human nature to block out the negative, and mostly concentrate on the 'happy' positive.

Being blind to the obvious (like so many people are) is almost just as bad though.

  4. This is so silly I cant even tell if your just being a troll here.......or you are somehow implying this has something to do with AGW.  There was 34 degree of temp rise in 12 hrs that isn't exactly unheard of this time of year..., the entire article is totally stupid and written by someone with no understanding of the normal climate in this part of the world apparently because it wasn't amazing....unless he just means how changeable the weather is the April on the east coast.

why is he a troll, just for posting straight up facts ?   I thought his article was pretty insightful  . And it's nice to see people micro-blogging about weather in their area.

"ohh boy, he's for Climate Change....lets troll him to oblivion"  basically the mindset of the deny'ers here.

btw,  it hit 70 here today.

  5. a little strange how so many of these anomalies are so close to land.

I'd be interested to see if these warm currents (west)can provide a rare / favorable pattern for rain temporarily out there...or at-least until summer kicks in,

  6. An energy efficient gigantic solar/wind/hydro powered desalinazation plant on as massive scale.

Requirung lots of Inginuity, new technology, and money.

You're sitting next to a limitless supply of water.

    Figure it out

    good point.

why they waited so long ? baffling.

  7. Just wanted to say, it's nice reading everybody's input here, even if we disagree.

usually these sections aren't too civil, but this one strangely respects both sides.   (for the most part)

these next few years should be pivotal in determining 'whats going really on'...climate change wise.

  8. Fiber = very important as well...to soak up all the extra oils in our bodies. (good and bad oils)  Some people find it a nuissance, as it typically results in more bowel movements...but your doing A LOT good for your body in general.  Including lowering cholesterol amounts.

Nowadays fiber is more flexible and pleasant to consume compared to the old days, where there weren't as many options.  Like psyllium husk...which many were allergic to.

Now they come in candy form...like those gummi things.   other options :

    Nutrigrain bars

    Chewable Fiber Choice supplements (Inulin)

or if caplets are your thing :

    Methylcellulose  or

    Calcium Polycarbophil

Or just getting it directly from healthy meals.   And look at that, I didn't even bring up the topic of Glutens.   :)

(taking the dr. phil hat off for the day)

  9. Funny how my total cholesterol went down substantially as my dietary cholesterol certainly went up...go figure!! High cholesterol is a symptom of inflammation of the arterial walls....well known to be caused by high blood glucose/insulin....cut the sugar/carbs, and voila, inflammation goes down, serum cholesterol will do so in kind...

Sugar is the main culprit for heart attacks. And a bigger trigger than high cholesterol itself.    Sugar = inflammation.  Sugar = cancer.

I've been living fine for the last 15+ years with very high chloresterol....and have never taken lipids for it    Lipid drugs weaken your body (muscles) over time...and can even make you more prone to heart attacks.    My weight has also been in the normal range all these years.

If you have high cholesterol and eat a fatty hamburger, your body stops producing cholesterol for an extended period of time..the body adjusts to compensate , depending on what your current cholesterol levels are.

Moderate exercise = the best medicine.

  10. Not to Mention human beings have no say in where they are born.

I would have expected more compassion from you.

Being american is arbitrary and completely abstract.

    Being human isn't.

GlobalWarmer , being a proud American doesn't take anything away from the facts of how much damage were doing to our climate....atleast in my opinion.

Were right up there with China....as one of the biggest offenders .

Interesting I suppose, bacon. There are uncertainties in all directions. I have not ruled out negative feedbacks caused by catastrophic meltwater injection into the North Atlantic.

At the end of the day, Ben is looking to appear credible at the expense of accuracy. Could be a double edged sword from CO2 and Space Weather, truely unlucky. He is consistently using the traditional denier talking points and comes across as pompous.

If it turns out a grand solar minimum is occuring, CO2 emissions might save us from the deep freeze.

yeah, he kind of throws every option out there.  I can never tell which way he's leaning, but was surprised he invested so much towards global cooling being imminent. (with so many current indicators....*yours included*  pointing opposite)

His main points were valid though...how nobody really knows what's going on, and which direction were heading...corruption and lobbying from all directions , etc.

  11. Ben did a nice 20 minute climate change update this morning.

EDIT:  to my surprise, his piece is mostly about how were due for an extended cooling period. thought he'd be more realistic about what's currently going on.  Regardless, still an interesting clip.

  12. Regardless, Republicans will still find some manufactured facts around somewhere...to say everything's normal...as long as money's still being pumped to em...from 'somewhere'.

Just like the $billions$ pumped to em to be against Obamacare.  Same agenda...different topic.

  13. ^ yet, why so few amounts of people worry about rapid warming possibilities....baffles me.

not everything goes holly / jolly out to space....like skeptics like to dream / imagine.

and all the junk / different chemicals were pumpin into the atmosphere.  there's absolutely noway to know for certain what can happen next....and what earth's atmospheric threshold is.

  14. somewhat OT....but still significant.

The sun wakes up finally...releases a X flare.

An X2.1 class solar X-ray flare occurred on 2015-Mar-11 with a peak time of 16:22UT. The flare occurred in NOAA AR 2297. (sunspot #)

X2-FLARE AND RADIO BLACKOUT: Sunspot AR2297 has just unleashed a strong Earth-directed solar flare (March 11 @ 16:22 UT). Extreme UV radiation from the blast, which measured X2 on the Richter Scale of Flares, is causing HF radio fade-outs and other propagation effects on the dayside of Earth, primarily over the Americas: map. Meanwhile, natural radio emissions from the sun suggest that a CME might be emerging from the blast site at speeds exceeding 1,400 km/s (3.1 million mph).

    breaking story..

kind of interesting as well....many think solar activity and earthquakes have a link...and this just happened to occur 1 minute after the flare :

5.4 Mag. Earthquake hit Costa Rica

Additional X-flares possible as 2297 is just starting to ramp up and become more earth-facing.

  15. and we wonder why cloud tops have been lowering over the years.

    sky falling yet..?

kind of explains why flash floods have been more severe than in the past.

Scientists at the University of Auckland in New Zealand analyzed the first 10 years of global cloud-top height measurements (from March 2000 to February 2010) from the Multi-angle Imaging SpectroRadiometer (MISR) instrument on NASA's Terra spacecraft. The study, published recently in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, revealed an overall trend of decreasing cloud height. Global average cloud height declined by around one percent over the decade, or by around 100 to 130 feet (30 to 40 meters). Most of the reduction was due to fewer clouds occurring at very high altitudes.

Lead researcher Roger Davies said that while the record is too short to be definitive, it provides a hint that something quite important might be going on. Longer-term monitoring will be required to determine the significance of the observation for global temperatures.
