Nice thunderstorm in Wantage, NJ. Very gusty ahead of the rain. Plenty of cloud to ground lightning.

The CMC is the most promising for those hoping against a washout Saturday. I want the beneficial rains, just not on Saturday. But, what will be, will be.

It became a little brighter in Wantage NJ a bit ago. The regional HS closed early due to smoke inside the building. If you were alone in a hall, you could see a haze per my teen. 

The smoke is at the surface in NW NJ. Horrible to breathe out there. Never seen anything like it. 

It was a run of the mill thunderstorm in Wantage NJ. Some downpours, a little gusty at the start with some rumbles of thunder.

Changeover occurring in Wantage, NJ

Jcp&l had equipment failure this morning causing an outage for thousands. Sussex Rural was able to use a back feed for its customers. But, another issue occurred and now all of Sussex Rural CoOp customers are out. So, not weather related. 

Power out in my part of Wantage. Up along the ridge near Space Farms.
