    Sean Sublette was laid off by the paper quite a while ago. He has a consulting business now. He also does a Substack post and sends weather emails a couple of times a week. He did explore running for office but dropped out of a crowded field. I like his email and posts.

    I never expected to be so grateful for sleet. FR holding off west Richmond so far, 2-3" sleet. Expect to see ice on shrubs soon, but so far they are dry and clear. Weather Underground app calls for precip to end around 8 PM. We can hope!

    Shoot. I was hoping for 3-4" of snow to get my shovel under the ice. Looks like maybe an inch. Tuckahoe, west Richmond. Sounds like mostly sleet right now. Hoping that holds.

    There's less on the untreated road in front of my house (west end RIC) than there was this morning at 8. But it slopes to the south.

    Well at least I got to enjoy a few hours of snow TV. Been a while since I got to watch snow fall. Turning to sleet here in Tuckahoe, Patterson and Gaskins. It is starting to cover walks and roads.

    Henrico is brining the roads out here in the West End.

    Richmond West End- Gaskins/Gayton. Mostly rain here. May be some sleet mixed in.

    VDOT seems to be paying attention- roads were brined in RIC west end when I was out at 8 this morning.

    West end of Richmond had snow for 1.5-2 hrs but it never stuck to anything.
