It's been a pretty meh winter season so far but I have for surely seen worse. We have gotten about 7" total of snow for the season so far.. not too bad. The temps have been weird though, constant up down drastic swings lol
-
Drizzling here, temp went up from 30 to just over 32. Roads are fine so far but elevated stuff off the ground has a thin glaze.
Temp up to 33 now, did not do much of anything here. I see more on radar getting ready to move in but thankfully so far we seemed to escape most precip. Back neighborhood roads are terrible though

0.25 to 0.50 with 20+ mph gusts. Yikes. Hope you don't lose power.
Me too! All of this neighborhood I live in has underground power but a mile away everything is above ground. It's been fairly windy too, holding at 31-32 degrees all day

Upgraded from a winter storm watch to an ice storm warning here. Ugh, really hope we don't get too much of this stuff

Man if it's one thing I'm nervous about it's ice storms, as beautiful as they are I have been through some baddies in my time!! Sux losing power for a week or more with no generator.
The forecast seems to keep painting more and more in for Sunday night into Monday sometime ugh.

I don’t have an official measurement, but I think we got around 2.5 inches here north of Tulsa.
Not too bad, about 4" here. A few spots I measured had more but looked wind whipped piles.

Yah we're lucky to get what we did today. Hopefully more to come in the next few weeks.
How much did you get up that way from this? I'm guessing 3" here on the ground now, looks to end pretty soon

Looks like the AR River valley might cash out the most.
Yea Tulsa's write up was mentioning that about the second wave of energy tom. Morning. I'm actually surprised on this one though lol, I was expecting flurries at best haha

Currently 1 degree with moderate to heavy snow falling. About 2" so far.
About what I'm thinking too on the west side here, snowing pretty darn good!

Such a fine thick snow, doesn't take much for everything to become beautiful with these temps and snow... 4 degrees imby.

Man I hope something comes out of this next storm, these dusting/half inch snows are blah. Fluffy powdery snow is so much better too, fingers crossed... I'd be happy with 4 plz lol

I remember those days. The sleepless nights because the next model run is just a few hours away. The excitement and anticipation and the buildup of the run, and then the agony of defeat when the model showed the storm going to the north, but wait....... the next model run is just a few hours away, and it'll be different this time..........
I took have been down that rabbit hole lol, back in the early/mid 2000s when this forum was elsewhere... The longggg sleepless nights, hell I'm too old for that anymore even as much of a snow weenie that I am! Now I just accept that it is what it is and hope for the best

Yeah a definite overperformer over here. Got an inch in less than an hour. Its covering streets and driveways too. Probably have 2+ inches on the east side of town. The heaviest part of the band hasn't moved all the way thru yet.
Yea man the back roads are heavy wet slop here. Our car looks like it has about 3.5" on it now, insane snow rates. Over performer for sure!

Got up at 6, went back to sleep and in an hour it must have been coming down here in Fayetteville.... Everything's covered, not sure how much prbly 2/2.5 inches of wet heavy snow!

It's pouring sleet and snow currently @ 19 degrees . Over and inch of accumulation . And still no sight of DOT.....Hmmmm? It looks like I'll have to chance and driving SLOWLY to the Dollar Gen three miles away to get some things tomorrow ..
We got about a quarter inch of sleet here. I'm glad it wasn't all freezing rain! Sounds like the rest of these pieces of energy the next few days misses us to the south. Really beautiful out there but the roads are bad, even in the city. Of course here they don't plow the subdivisions lol. Be careful!!

Back neighborhood roads here are completely iced over from freezing mist and fog all night.
Looks/sounds like we get spared of freezing rain today and get sleet, tomorrow's waves of energy sound to be the same. Tulsa was mentioning snow possible too for interstate 412 and north tomorrow lol.

There's close to 5" here in Bella Vista. So much was compacted. I kept cleaning off my truck and it would fill back in. We had at least 6-7" fall after dark but at a temp of 33 there's only about 5 now.
Nice, I was up late and measured just shy of 7" here but like everyone said so much compaction was occuring who knows what we really got. 32-33 all night here too, if it had been colder we would have been buried in some fluffy snow depth!!

Probably like 1/2-3/4" of melty slush.
I can only imagine how much this would have been if it was much colder! We hovered right around 32-33 the whole time. Same here though, heavy slushy snow.

So the GGEM/Euro did the best while the NAM was just awful like usual, right?
Not sure what they were predicting for here but sounds right. I know you said earlier it finally started snowing up there, how much do u have now?
Still coming down here, close to 7" now imby

Chimes, AR sitting at 1800 ft in Van Buren Co with the report of 12" and more to come. Crazy.
Insane! It started coming down Abt 40 minutes ago here, nearly whiteout lol. Transformers popping everywhere lighting the sky up. I'd say close to 6" here now maybe a smidge more man. Lots of tree branches snapping from the weight, the last time I witnessed snow this intense and heavy was in Missouri when we got that 25" of snow in 10 hours.

Still holding at 32 here, very hard to measure as it compacts down quick. The car has almost 4" on it now, Abt 3.5" on the ground. It's let up a while ago to light snow, more to come? And amber, sorry you didn't get any snow

Still nothing here in BV. I think we'll bust low here. Taking too long to change over. KNWA now talking about a dry slot that might affect us later as well. You never know what's going to happen once these things get going.
So crazy man usually things do the opposite and it's doing nothing here but up there it is lol. Hopefully we don't get dry slotted!!! It's that type of snow that just compacts down so fast. Haven't seen flakes this large in a very long time though so it's cool to see
-
Holding at 32.8 here, been snowing fairly heavily for an hour or so now. So heavy of snow it's sticking to everything, wet slushy snow. I'd love to see this temp drop at least another degree

Was sleeting really heavy here for about an hour, was crazy man! Didn't stick though cause of the warm ground temps.
