10 million acres of crops destroyed. If half was corn and a total loss that’s $3B alone. The other half is soybeans it’s about $2.7B using 200 and 60 bpa as conservative yield estimates. I’m sure not ALL that is total loss but I bet a bunch is. 

What’s the primary driver(s) for the air quality alerts across much of CONUS?

I’m in Fargo. Was driving back from Valley City, ND and had -26F on dash the whole way from 5-5:45. I’m taking my truck battery into the hotel tonight. I’m not sure it’ll have enough CCA at -35f to start with no block heater.

I’m going to be in Fargo this week and I would like to see the crossover point where Celsius is a larger number than Fahrenheit. It’s probably a stretch.

I’m in Farmington, 20 miles west of you. Absolutely ripping here. No idea how much. I’m getting a lot of dirt blown in with the snow from the field to my north.
