Just happy the ponds have been skateable (no such word I know) here in NWJersey. I'll take cold over snow, even the rainstorms we've had has been natures Zamboni.

.94 ice is right over my house, Morris County, NJ. Need to put oil in my brand new generator and get it ready Friday just in case.

Exactly, need a couple days for things to pan out and better sampling. At least it's something to monitor, this winter so far hasn't been thrilling but we have a long way to go. Last thing I want is a slopfest, the ponds around here are finally ready for icehockey.

Don't think we get a clearer picture until Thursday Nights system gets out of the way. Part of me thinks areas just northwest of Thursday Night/Friday's system remains frozen.
