as it often does better w/ NS disturbances, yeah its a concern. FV3 had some look for the trailer idea, but it needs to start showing it soon if its gonna happen.
I'm all in for whatever gets us snow brother, make it happen lol. I'll take 3 to 5 powder over warm mix stuff any day.

GFS is way to go until Euro beats it...hoping we all get a nice snow soon...would gladly give up totals to have nice powdery snow.

FV3 has the follow up wave. I guess we all can look for what solution we want and call it whatever we want.
Enjoy what's left of your foot of snow.
I'll go slide around on the frozen puddle in my brown backyard.
Ehh most we had on ground was 8 ish...was off in measuring and pawatch had closer to 6. Okay year up here, but climo wise we do great with low end warning events but fail at huge snow events. Trade off I guess.

Mehhhhhh not looking like much of anything.

i wouldn't mind that temperature, if we could get some damn precip to accompany it. What the hell do we have to do round these here parts to get liquid and cold at the same time?
Mystery for the ages lately lol.

Flooding ongoing in Sullivan and E. Lycoming county.

Mag, thanks for insight...yeah already seeing rises sharp at that on small streams...if we punch up to 45 tonight look out. Unfortunately in our area small streams cause the most trouble in terms of damage and road damage...especially Mill Creek out 973 about 8 feet wide but rises like crazy in a hurry.
-
Tonight is looking like a real soaker...big moisture influx for sure.
-
Rain freezing to lines and trees but really ponding up everywhere else...coming down pretty good.

This will turn most everything to a pool of water and then a freeze for the weekend.
Fun times ahead lol. I am growing concerned with flood threat despite no attention from nws...also sounds like County public safety is as well.

They seem to always want to do that. With 6" of frozen snow on the ground and inches of rain on the way.
It'll be fine...our area never has flooding issues from snowmelt and runoff **sarcasm**.

GFS puts down statewide 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 swath over NCPA.
-
Yeah dude we have well over 1.7" and models have it getting mid to upper 40s with even short term models dealing out 1 to 2 inches of rain.... surprised it hardly gets a mention...advisory is toast it's sunny here at times precip still well west.
-
Jumped to 29.8 here, interest turning from frz rain to flooding, though nws says nothing to see here as usual.
-
Ummm...why no flood watches when every model has us getting a 40 degree soaking into a water loaded snow pack? Nam just put down 2 to 4 in 33 hours.
-
Thinking back we were all pretty good sports, getting a trace while Hburg had like 3 feet of snow lol. We had a few punchy Pete's from this last storm and it was a secs at best where it hit.
-
I did hear this front deal will be very complex and hard to forecast.
-
-
Thinking between snow pack, dense cold air and deep valley location it might be a little difficult to scour cold air out up in NCPA.
-
Measured 9.2 before it changed over, though lower elevations reporting 6.5 to 8 and higher areas ,12 or ,13.

Over 8 and still all snow as of now.
