    Had anything fallen up there prior to 11am? I'm only asking as I noticed it was a 12 hour map.

    Regardless, I'm glad you responded and made that correction. My pathetic total gets worse by the minute. :)

    Didn’t catch what your total was but York course close to Dover only managed 0.15” while places 15 miles away had 1.50” +

    Seems we get some rain either way but we are on the southern end of influence from that front so anything over 1/4" is going to be bonus.   Looks like a slow, light rain about to start.

    .50 is my bar for the event.   Courses really need it.

    Hey guys! I know it's been a hot minute since I've been in the forum (Winter did not help the potential this past year....). All that said, I wanted to pass along some great news;

    I have accepted an offer to be a new QPF/Winter Forecaster for the Weather Prediction Center in College Park, MD bringing me back to the Mid-Atlantic! I will try not to be a stranger and even try to visit PA more in the future. Plus, I can pass along information that's available to the public for y'all to see and offer my thoughts when storms arise.

    Hope everyone is doing well and look forward to coming back home :)

    Way to go!   Welcome back to the snow hole !

    Who would have thought it would be have stopped already out this way.  HRRR has some lighter showers coming through later but 18Z cut way back from 12Z for West LSV.

    That first round blossomed right around Thurmont just like last Saturday and tracked due north.   I’m listening to York County scanner they have a lot of trees down.  Also some structural damage.

    The grass is going to take off next week.  This is not a drought buster but it is a mean, green rain machine.

    At this point I route for smaller amounts of rain for the courses. Typically .25 to .75 is a good amount at a time.   1” plus starts other problems such as increased disease pressure, cart path restrictions and also erosion of sand traps.

    Some winners and lots of losers today (in both precip and the world in general.) but the HRRR has some decent rain over MDT later tonight FWIW.

    The band that ran this side of ridge was intense.   I had 1.93” at house and over 2” at Fairfield course.   And the constant lightning was better than any storm we had last year.
