Banter:
Are there any good weather related RSS feeds? Preferably local weather. I'm just not a twitter guy, but I self-host a lot of apps and have a nice RSS aggregator. It would be nice to have weather related feeds added... Thanks!

How we looking for Ravens 1pm game forecasts? I’m thinking 50% rain at kickoff but rapidly clearing. What’s your thoughts?

Pounding rain for the past 45 minutes… heavy dose of lightening and thunder. Woke up the house and still continues to move through Anne Arundel county into southeast Baltimore and Harford counties.

Sheriff in Harford County said Jarrettsville hit really hard. A bunch of trees down, accidents, and 3 calls for residents trapped in dwellings from downed trees.

Thanks, looks like the warning just expired too.

I know it’s out of region but can anyone take a look at radar in southern Delaware? On vacation around Fenwick and our phones all lit up with tornado warning alarms. I feel out of my element without computer.
shoulda been the same line of storms that rolled through you guys earlier.

Repeat later today? Daughter lives a few miles south of me and said it was a wild hour or so in the early morning. I didn't hear a thing!
#Update | Severe Storm Damage | #Overnight | Pictures are coming in showing the destruction in Herald Harbor | Around 1:30 AM the isolated storm came through the Crownsville area causing severe damage | Crews are working to restore power | Unknown on injuries | Use extreme caution if you find a downed wire or tree into the wiresIs there a way to get a radar loop of this? I was on Waugh Chapel Road in Gambrills this morning right by School of the Incarnation and noticed some peculiar tree damage in an isolated area across the road from overnight (I pass this everyday so I know it was fresh).
At the time, I didn’t know a storm rolled thru… now I’m interested if the tree damage was related.

I’d like to try “new” coke. I was pretty young when that was originally released. By the time I was into drinking a soda, it was already phased out.
I tried buying it a few years ago during the stranger things special release but couldn’t get an order in.
I also remember Pepsi Clear and that made a comeback attempt and it was still bad.

I'd like to make an announcement to my fellow ultra nature connect snow freaks.. I'm officially back in the swamp of AA County. No snow on Parrs Ridge was worth the living hell of a relationship I fell into. Anyway..
1/8/22 season totals
Parrs Ridge 4.6
Gambrills MD 14.3
The signs from the snow gods are undeniable. I'll take my 33 and rain while the fall line points west get powder then live the way I was. Right now I'm looking at a beautiful snowpack right here in the sleety, swampy lowlands of AA County. I love bay county just as much as the highlands. MD is an awesome state.
Peach and love, friends
Daniel
Next observation will be from my home in the swampy lowlands of bay county. It's been a rocking January here in the swamps. Here's to a much deserved rocking winter to us lowlanders. Three more inches and I crack climo.
Welcome back.
my neighborhood’s water is out, that’s a new life wrinkle.

The yellow returns have faded as the band approaches Anne Arundel county.

I totally get your thought there but the way I’m reading some of these messages, it seems like the vDOT gave up. Only 2 hours ago did they send a message that said they’re about to start helping folks.
There has to be a beginning to the stopped line, you’d think they start one by one there. I guess it’s just a mess of coordination, what a nightmare.

I don’t understand how this happens. It stopped snowing way earlier, plows should be able to clear the path ahead and treat roads.
if it was still snowing, I get it, but this seems crazy.

15.1 was my low, didn’t expect that.

33.8/32.0 all snow now
Gambrills/Crofton
car tops caved and grassy areas

Anne Arundel already did an asynchronous virtual learning day last week (Wednesday). The funny part was they were obviously previously prepared and my second grader’s unit was all about snow. The kids thought it was silly learning about snow when it was bright and sunny outside on a weather closure day.
