Screw the ZR, give me a cold rain. 25 years with CONN DOT in the northeast hills of CT, there’s nothing worse

yeah it's pretty bright here in Branford.
84 really...wow.
Yea, it’s a Lowe’s Acurite, but it’s on my covered porch and is usually close

Really should watch south of Long Island the next few hours. Some definite thinning/breaks of clouds occurring. Also noting some decent convection to pop up to the south and east of the circulation. I think it's becoming apparent the slug of heaviest rain moves off to the west...however, we may be seeing increasing potential for t'storms/TOR potential
Sun keeps popping out here in NECT, my thermo showing 84, nasty stickiness outside

Nothing.
Light rain.
Radar should fill in next couple hours and we change to snow then back to a mix. Probably looking at C-2 right now.
Going to be a sharp gradient over CT from several inches to almost nothing.
Plainfield Griswold for the gradient along I-395, had about 3” at my house in Killingly and bare and wet here at work in Norwich

Some people don’t believe in guns, hate them....but I do have a fine machete.
Actually got one of those too as an XMAS present from my GF’s son, I’ve been training with it in my teeth

If you have a genny it’s great. But for those who lose power in NE CT while opioid addicts run wild in your neighborhood, break into your house as you hide in the bathtub with a box of Treehouse over your head...might not be fun.
12 gauge triple ought, 45 ACP, 357 mag and 38. Oh, and a very alert Shepherd all protecting my generator.

That was the one. I was actually home on spring break from college and it was a disaster.
Yup, I was a crew leader with CTDOT in NECT, we knew it was coming and tried to pre stage and still failed with the heavy traffic

Gloria catapulted my weenie-ness. I remember the stratus just flying by at 90kts and trees bending. We lost power for several days. Way better than Bob in my hood.
Gloria was a great event for a budding weenie, I spent a solid week at the firehouse keeping generators running and going on calls (good stuff for an 18 year old FF/EMT). Bob fizzled for NECT. The next best memory was the blizzard of ‘78, out of school for a week and spent the entire time outside.

I don’t doubt it, but DOT is out and a quick treatment will take care of it.
