This is so much like that 2010 event
4” in 30 minutes with lightning. Yes please!

Popcorn cell out of nowhere here in Ellington, pea size hail and decent wind.

You would be surprised how often somebody logs into personal and office and forgets which they are posting from.
I also wish I could say this will result in a severe punishment for the person responsible, but that's pretty unlikely. Maybe some unpaid leave, but you have to really go above and beyond to get fired once you are past probation. Like use government car for personal use bad.
Or, frustration with the SoCal homeless situation has exceeded whispered tones, which is not relatable to you as a New Englander

Oh I didn’t know you moved from Tolland. Are you on the other side of the hill in Ellington coming down the back way from Tolland?
Yup, down in “Smellington”

Those box maps are rarely wrong especially when showing a downcast depiction. Weigh it, factor it, pause a bit on the breathless exuberance

Just imagine if you will.. if this was December leading up to the holidays.. when you can sustain a pack .. and the sun doesn’t cause a hot steering wheel or red neck after a lunch outside .. how much more special this would feel
These seem so rare in Dec though. March is more fun, violent, volatile

So my 401 is down 200k since Jan ‘21, unsightly’s can now go topless on Nantucket, and worst of all, my company put us back in masks an hour ago.
Mandatory. But we can sit together and eat lunch for an hour until we go back in the lab or at our desk. All hybrid employees can use their own judgement as to how safe it is to come in to the office.
Im praying we go back yellow soon. It was a great 7 weeks maskless though. That is pathetic. Sorry your company is so lame and anti-science. You are in the .01% of organizations still carrying on with such nonsense, I’m sorry to tell you

LOL at those who think the housing price run up is natural and market based, and not the leading indicator of hyperinflation

Radar shows otherwise but it’s ripping here with killer winds. Love it!

We windward side
In terms of snow, looking at 2 to 4 inches in the Advisory areas, with up to 6 inches possible in the eastern slopes of the Berkshires. However the higher totals should more closely follow the terrain and especially the windward sides of the Berkshires and northern Worcester/Tolland hills.
Respect for and recognition of the soaring, majestic spires of the Tolland Massif is somewhat of a recent phenomenon in CT wx forecasting

Imagine the balls to negotiate buying oil with Iran and Venezuela, because of green concerns, while we have the oil in the ground sitting read to be produced. Meanwhile instead if creating US jobs we pay dictators to kill people. There is absolutely no sense to this Administration's policies. Feckless
It’s just stubbornness at this point. The other side can’t be proven right in any way

Yea, definitely. I haven’t seen any expert mention this so I’m speculating from afar. It just smells fishy they’d have soldiers not knowing their mission and not understanding why they were there, tanks breaking down, etc. it makes sense though strategically to not send the best in round 1 to see if you can cheaply win this.
That’s exactly why the whole war is fishy and meme-like and bullshitty. You don’t send your scrubs in first in war. Soviet Deep Battle doctrine has them spilling in later as reserves

I think some areas in N CT had 4-5” in that one. I think even BDL in the valley cleaned up.
I remember it well. We got 4” in about 30 minutes, with one epic lightning strike right nearby me.

I remember as a kid you’d get behind a plow and could hear the tiny sand pebbles mixed in hitting the windshield . They used red sand here growing up and it left a hideous reddish brown all over everything. My dad would go out into our culdesac and sweep the entire circle up with a push broom, shovel loads of it into wheelbarrow and dump it into our woods
The red sand OMG. they scooped it from Iwo Jima beaches and dumped it in Tolland. Right up through 2006 I would say

We had 4-5” of sleet. That stuff was impenetrable
You couldn’t do anything with it, except shovel the old fashioned way and suffer. Many an auger spun its last in that one
