Breezy w/very light rain in Piedmont, SC and the temp dropped 6 degrees as soon as it started. 31 degrees now.

Whenever there’s any kind of weather event for the Upstate, I listen to Chris Justus and Brad Panovich, then come here for the discussion and map analysis. Those two have been pretty much in agreement on this one. I also really like Kendra Kent—she’s been a bit more reserved, which I appreciate—but all three are essentially saying the same thing:

This is a major storm for the Upstate and WNC, and they’re very confident it will at least be disruptive, with a strong possibility of it being destructive and dangerous. That’s really all I need to know. Exact totals and p-type swings matter less when there’s this level of agreement that the event itself is a serious concern. Stay safe and warm everyone!

Snow and IP in Piedmont, SC. It's been going on for about 45 minutes. Very light, but my car is covered. 

It snowed for about 4 hours this morning and early this afternoon. Then we had a snow hole, then a sleet fest, and now it's freezing rain. From what I can tell outside it's very white and SHINY and there are icicles forming on the eaves of the house. Rain still coming down and freezing. 

Light snow just started about 14 miles south of Greenville, SC

Greenville County schools are going to virtual learning tomorrow. BOOO! Let the kiddos have a snow day. 

Snowing in Piedmont SC off Augusta Rd. Heavy small flakes mixed with sleet. 

This is just bs.  Watching my friends across  the entire country get the motherload of wintry weather and I'm sitting here considering buying floaties and refilling my dog's anxiety medicine needed during t-storms. Even my San Diego friends got stuck in a snowstorm driving to Baja last month. I have had ZILCH. 

It's snowing in dang Mississippi even! 

Nothing but rain in Simpsonville. Grass and roads just wet. I saw a few flakes if I looked at the porch light and squinted lol.
