  1. Great day in the northern greens.. Stowe so nice.. words do not do justice to the skiing surface on the natty trails.. learned the hard way to beware of woods/reserved... streams and water bars abound
  2. My last visit mid April was nice... Some base work required after that trip
  3. Twisted my arm... the quad is a wind beast..it's had to be blowing 40 at times I've been on it with no hold... but I have no concept of how how various wind directions come into play
  4. Hmmm... sick day tomorrow on Mansfield? maybe a little more tonight... winds may be up a bit though..any possible affect on lift ops... Stowe is usually pretty good but I don't know enough about direction etc to estimate impact...
  5. Stowe Sunday was something... Everything that I could get to (no hiking or sidecountry) was in play and simply Devine. Kinda crowded too... Opened lookout for a while. Great day to be alive and outdoors.
  6. Just drove up to Stowe tonight.. The corn horn calleth...
  7. Thinking a visit north may be in order sat....
  8. Thanks - I saw the pnc with -neg numbers at the summit with high winds - very chilly - may radar watch a bit- but right now the cold/wind is arguing for a local day here at 32 and sunny...
  9. Thinking of Stowe again (csc discount day) on Sunday 3/22- looks [email protected] cold for March though- will make the run if they get fresh sat night or if the ungroomed is not locked up tight- If powderfreak cares to prognosticate I'm all ears..
  10. The ungroomed at elevation at Stowe wasn't that bad on thurs- better than i thought it would be after thaw freeze cycle- also had an inch of top coat- blown all over creation...all in all decent for this time of year on a day that doesn't warm.... Wasn't as fun as the days before... But it is that time of year....
  11. Glad the surface has stayed relatively undamaged- can't wait for my week at Stowe next week.... Looks warmish... I would prefer either teens and packed powder or if it is going to warm any day that everyday be 40 plus- not the thaw freeze locked up 30 degree spring days...
  12. Hoping the rainless stretch up north continues.. Headed to Stowe for kids school vacation 3/9 to 3/15- Would love to have at it without a thaw freeze in the surface... Or, if it's gonna warm up- let it stay warm for an early corn harvest....that will get me shunned here, I know
  13. https://vimeo.com/120384516 Not historic for us in north central ct- but a nice pack and fun for the pup...
