WOW, you like it very warm. Most people like room temperature in the low 70s. Like most people, I'd never be able to sleep if it was in the 80s in my house. 70 to 72 is my perfect temp range for sleeping.
i need it to be like under 68 or i will not sleep at all, i could not imagine 80 degrees inside

These stuck weather patterns are the bane of my existence. It helps with sleeping though because #depression. I see NYC beaches open this weekend... Ready for the polar plunge?
heard that. long range looks promising... didn't think i'd have to say that between march and november

you really need a space heater, I keep my bedroom at 82 degrees, it's a nice dry heat and destroys all the stupid cold outside :-)

we need to suck water vapor out of the atmosphere
i know i say this every now and again, but im pretty dead-set on moving out of this area and back out west sometime in the next few years, i'd rather be somewhere that doesn't see this kind of garbage weather the majority of the year. also the drivers here are outstandingly bad

i pray we break this pattern by june. this weather sucks so bad. i do not want to see rain for the foreseeable future
-
at this rate i'd rather funnel water in from long island sound and de-salinate it by hand myself to cure a drought than have it rain again this month

do you really think it's not because we're putting large quantities of a gas that traps outgoing longwave radiation into the atmosphere
idk how its not blatantly obvious this is human induced. yes the climate has warmed previously to humankind... but look at any statistical measurement post industrialization to see how rapid the acceleration of global warming has become. its not a little cute coincidence

Yeah. Then cow farts and industry came along and changed everything. This area was once covered in a glacier and it melted and receded. No humans or industry then. To each his own I guess.
No denying planet has warmed over the past 20-30 years but not human induced. Time will tell but most of us here today could welll be on the other side of the grass by then.

mountains near san diego get more snow than we do heh
i had to drive from my girlfriends dads house in pheonix back to san diego in late february one night. as soon as we hit the mountains after the central valley i saw a snowflake and said "no way, is that snow?" about 3 minutes later it was full white out conditions on the 8 freeway. I was terrified. pretty trippy to be in a snowstorm passing signs that say "turn ac off until crest" due to cars overheating in the summer desert heat

god i hate this pattern. definitely looking to relocate back to southern california in the next few years. 20" of snow per season is not worth it lmao

Try again in December. Game over been over
who even wants it now... whats the goal? 2 inches of slop that melts in 72 minutes flat? seeing the trees start to bud has made me shut off any want for frozen precip. we'll get back at it in late november. for now, lets all pray for 75, sunny, low humidity and no more wind over 5mph

can we get 75 and sunny with minimal wind... winter is dead lets have some decent weather. getting tired of the spring time "fake nice" weather, looking out the window and the sun is gorgeous but really sick of stepping outside into a wind tunnel

The last "event" that dropped a coating to an inch and was gone by the next evening is at fault, they dropped 100 gigatons of salt on the streets for practically nothing.
seriously, that was ridiculous

unbelievably stoked to get the salt washed out of here...
terrible for the environment, terrible for us, and for selfish reasons, the weather has been nice and ive been able to skate more regularly. but, the salt does a lovely job of ruining the bearings in my wheels. like absolutely kills them. so for a multitude of reasons, i dont think ive ever been so excited for rain

I'm not miserable and judging by how skiing and snowboarding is growing rapidly I think there are more and more winter lovers. Plenty of climates to enjoy in the country. I always ask people why live where you are miserable?
Plenty of places to live without seasons. Phoenix being a popular destination without humidity and clouds! Also still close to epic skiing.
i agree with you, but my stance on winter is from thanksgiving until the end of january, im a happy camper with as much cold and snow as possible. i start getting a little nuts by the beginning of february. having said that, i've lived in southern california and i love it, but miss living in actual fall and winter. so its really a double edged sword. i've spent a good amount of time in pheonix too, the winters are nice, summer is miserable.

How do people on here not enjoy nice cold mornings? You feel invigorated when you take that deep breath in. Very weird how once we get to February some are just like naw let's torch. Spring is our most miserable season here from super hot to cold to many many days of cloudy and gloom with mist and 40 degrees. I'm an extreme guy give me winter and summer. I'm glad Killington's snowiest month is March and they are already ahead of Park City for snowfall this year. I think I need to move further north.
