Another day and another chance for severe. Yesterday stayed west and east so hopefully the same happens. There's still lines and trees down all over the city. 

I haven't really had anything severe since Tuesday and even that storm was just wind for me. Unfortunately, just enough to knock my power out for a day. But, I'm fine with this. That was no fun. And I was one of the lucky ones to get it back in a day.

My power came back on around 4 today. Hopefully tomorrow's round isn't as bad as this was, at least wind wise. People are still without power but it's thankfully dwindling down. They got a lot of help from neighboring states with this. Otherwise, some of us may have been out for days.

Well luckily mine came on just now. Looks like some of the major outages are being taken care of. The one main street by my house was closed so it looks like that was the culprit 

I still don't have power as of now in Bethel.

They said it could take days to restore the power.

I think the line did weaken some as far as the precip goes. But still very high winds, especially when it first hit. Enough to knock my power out.

I'm definitely in spring mode now. Hard to believe the anniversary of the blizzard of 93 is coming up. That was 32 years ago! I was still in high school and now I'm turning 50 this year. Lol

Zero chance it happens guys. Sorry to burst your bubble. The seasonal trend has not been friendly for heavier synoptic storms north of the Dixon. 

Sucks to be in the bullseye 5 days out and on just one model. Just to tease us a little before the rug gets ripped out yet again. Lol

Jan 94 is worth researching, even just old YouTube videos. Epic storm. 20-30” in SW Pa with 3-4” per hour rates at its peak. Somewhat lost to history because it was 10 months after March 93, and the official total was mysteriously low (14”) compared to other reports. 
March 2018 was a nice long duration storm that kept adding on. Not super impactful though since it was March and was over probably 24 hours .

The Jan. 94 storm will always be my favorite. I got 27 inches where I lived in Westmoreland County at the time. And it was mostly a daylight snowfall as well. And it was moderate to heavy for most of it. I was off school for a week. That was my senior year. I knew at the time that I'd probably never see one like that again, and so far I've been right. I'm talking the intensity of the snow, combined with it snowing all day, and the heavy amount I got there. We've had a few big ones since, but that one just checked off all the boxes for me when it comes to the perfect snowstorm. I wish I had a camcorder to record it but didn't.

Temperature dropped to 27 and blowing snow and slush freezing up. I just had a wind gust over 45 and blew over both garbage cans. 

My power has gone out briefly a couple of times.

Washington and Westmore counties now in watches

I would think Allegheny will eventually be added. At least the southern half of the county right now can get warning level snow. Maybe, if we're lucky, that can keep pushing further north.

NWS keep lowering my totals. Started out 2-4 Sunday night and 2-4 for Monday. Now, 1-3 for both instead.

Rgem is north. Icon south. Rgem and 3k NAM look good. Would really like for the Euro to get on board and for the gfs to hold steady/improve. 

Maybe the Euro will be the one to cave this time? Seems to be the outlier compared to the others.
