Let’s see what these same posters calling for no wind and outages are saying around 2:00

In terms of impact, I'm thinking this won't even be in the top 3 storms of the summer here in northern CT.

This is a dangerous tweet, nothing supports cat 2, nothing

Agreed. I could have bought into that possibility yesterday, but the window is quickly closing on significant intensification.

    Stock up on beer SNE.

So we have plenty of libations to assuage the boredom of watching a breezy rain storm? I got the generator out and stocked up on gas, but I'm thinking it was wasted effort at this point.

What is it with people who lurk and barely ever contribute randomly popping in just to announce that they don't approve of what everyone else is posting and that the thread should be shut down before disappearing again for 2 months?

Happens all the time in the MA subforum too. It's weird, man.

Isn't there like an infowars forum you could slither off to for your hot takes? My apologies that I pop into a weather forum and get annoyed when it's a covidiot convention instead.

Outflow winds were impressive,  heard a couple of limbs crack next street over but we're down to 71  here now with sprinkles and a cool stiff N wind.

Was outside folding up some awnings when that passed, I had to take cover from flying tree debris. It's calmed considerably now.

The death numbers in the US are still pretty steady at around 250 per day. And I don’t believe those either. The actual number is south of that.

It looks like I-190 / I-395 beltway is heading in the direction of what I-495 beltway used to be, and worth looking at in terms of investment over time.  Worcester has been trying to revamp itself as far as an urban area, and the nearby towns are worth looking into.  Even in this area, a 1000 SF home in good condition can be priced close to $300K right now.

You can so quickly get into a world of hurt if you buy a home near the top of what the bank is willing to lend you.  S&**T happens, life happens, and real life is way more expensive than the formula the bank uses.  I'm thankful I was so conservative, and I sleep much better at night. :D

I grew up in sleepy little Berlin. I'm shocked at the development happening around both the 290 and 495 on/off ramps.

I mean I’ve been in shorts for days and days.  I love winter, I really do. But this year brings challenges I feel that creep up every day. The more time passes, the more I’m ok with 11-12 redux. I don’t prefer that, but if it sucks......furnace the phucker.

There haven't been that many new additions to this community since the EasternWX days... is it possible some of us are aging out of winter?

  9. Just like this winter, several posters have retreated to their corners bruised and bloody, trying to catch their breath.

Personally, I'd like to be tracking some toasty days as we approach Morch, but it looks like SNE is riding with "meh" for the next couple of weeks.

it's tempting to join the dark side, isn't it?

It's ticking down to the end of winter's third quarter and the Coldinistas are down big. They're looking for Tom Brrrrrr-ady and James "Snow" White to walk through the door, but the pattern doesn't favor it.
