At some point I would think something has to give. Either the NAM falls in line with the rest of the models, or the rest of the models line up with the NAM. Can’t say I’m not nervous down here in delco...

Any concern here about the dry slot? DT posted a bit earlier that based on where the low is setting up, the dry slot could impact SE PA.
The dry slot will happen. It’s been modeled for days now and will always happen with these Miller b systems.

People keep saying 6-8 in Philadelphia because there will be a hanger over into warmer air later on tonight and tomorrow morning. I’m disappointed- I want a foot!
Who’s everyone? Accuweather? Lol

what was PHLs total in 2016? NCDC is down
Official measurement was 22.4 inches. I worked out in Chester springs and there was probably close to 30. So hard to measure with the drifting from that storm.

True wasn't it 2016 when they were saying Philly would bear the brunt and then LV smashed their record?!
LV did bullseye but it was an area wide blasting. Wasn’t until the day before the storm the major outlets caved and put out the proper warnings
. -
No one knows where the heavy bands setup till they setup and start moving!!!! I think LV could still get blasted
Or the way it sets up. Could have a more N to S type setup and blast all of eastern PA

This feels like it’s going to be a relative bust for philly area...news outlets and accuweather now trimming amounts for my area.
Not sure why they keep trimming totals. Recent trending has philly doing better. Still have a day before the main event.

I heard it from KYW ( I think that’s accuweather) apparently there will be rain and sleet later in tonight, not snow.
There will not be rain tonight. Some minor sleet and a chance of freezing rain. But the dry slot as energy transfers to the low off the coast will limit ice totals.

This is coming in way earlier than modeled. Bolds well for huge amounts.
Radar looks solid too. Me being down in far SE PA the front end could be big before that change over to sleet tonight. Hoping the dry slot limits the sleet/freezing rain over night and snow comes back heavier.

Light flakes in Chester heights. Cars have some white on them. Radar looks decent. Nice band moving NE from Baltimore headed towards us

Icon has been pretty consistent the last few runs

Here in Glasgow, DE I'm feel too close to the possible mix line to feel confident about making a prediction so I'm going to go conservative for my house and the Glasgow/Bear area:
7 inches (which isn't horrible, but I don't love it)
You will definitely have issues with mixing down there. You’ll be on that fringe rain/mixing line. Hopefully it stays south tho!! Good luck

Where? The shore...sure. Post your location in your profile.
Not sure how to in Tapatalk.... I’m in chads Ford.

NWS seems to be very concerned about mixing issues. Possible mixing for up to 12 hours Sunday night into Monday. They’re buying the NAM/HRRR hard

The SREFS are Part of the NAM family so that isn’t all that surprising
NAM rolling out now... should we brace ourselves???

I’m fainting here in Media Delaware County lol
I live in Aston. Needless to say I’m very happy lol. Looks like we’ve been in the bullseye for the entire day. Hope it stays that way

Also around that 60 hour mark is when the energy transfers to the coastal low and the precipitation picks up and starts coming in heavier

At this point I’m just preparing for a bust in south delco. Seems inevitable at this point....
