  1. Cnywxfreak thanks..but i thought the wind flow was suppose to be more of a northerly component to even n-ne..wouldnt that favor sodus bay pts west to Roc vs oswego..bwcause we usually get good lake enchanced  of mpre of a wnw flow...nne flpw for us doesnt have the whole length of the lake to carry moisture i dont believe as opposed to those parts

  2. Hey wolfie yeah i noticed thst little 20 mile band amd uptick prec. Moisture on the model of that 1.25+ in central oswwgo right in city oswego where i live...why do  you think there is a concentrated area just there in specific..is that in part to the sympnotic storm itself or the lake enuamced that follows the storm behind the main moisture

  3. Thats exactly what i wanted ti hear gentlemen...music to my ears.. now  wolfie when you say 6-8" w lollys of a 12+ where is the best chance of them.more localized 12+ bands .ore likely to set up...also cnylesfreak the synoptic slop at the end of the deformation zone, what time frame hour wise are we looking at just to give us a general frame of reference..like.the wee hours of this a.m.? And then a lull and then the lake enhanced action will kick.in this evening..to both you guys..how do you feel about the nws snowmap they out out..you like it or no?

  4. How much snow would you project the city of oswego to receive wolfie and cny lesfreak for the entire duration over these nwxt 2 days..and will the winds be wnw or mpre nnw fir the lake effect pprtion of the storm..? Its pouring out rain now in the city of oswego..waiting for it to change over..how much synoptix snow we looking at ..sorry im all ovwr the place its just im genuinely excited qwre under a winter storm watch and  back in the snow conversation haha

  5. wow was this expected? im pleasantly suprised.. i live in the city of oswego and sure enough its starting to snow out lightly at the moment..  Here is a clip from the nws buffalo AFD "

    The result
could be a couple fresh inches of snow for Oswego County. As we
proceed into the wee hours of Wednesday morning...the flow will veer
back to around 300 deg...and this will push the lake snow showers to
the south across northern Cayuga and possibly northeast Wayne
    counties."

wolfie and cnylesfreak what is your thoughts on accumulations overnight within oswego county?? let me know

  6. hey guys  i know its early and still a few days out but what are the early projections for the wind flw for this upcoming lake effect efect..do you think the winds can veer for a 290 degree flow for a time so that the city of oswego can get into the lake effect band..im wondering if that band that sets up tuesday will meander around to the south or for the most part will it be confined mainly to the tug on more of a 270 degree flow...let me know your guys thoughts??

  7. hey guys...i know the lake effect event is still a few days out..but how is it look preliminarily speaking for the city of oswego..wnw wind flow i would imagine would align well with our location..how much lake effect precipitation are we working with here..would love to know your feedback..i know snow totals are way to early to predict where banding sets up just wanted to get the discussion rolling a little

  8. you really think we have the potential to reach a foot? the returns i see on radar look like there going due north to slightly north -northeast..im not seeing that se- to nw flow ? yea the models very accurately predicted the location of the banding..very nicely done...oswego county is definitly one of the counties in the sweetspot for this storm
