  1. I've actually been thinking about this as well. I don't think anyone wants death and destruction. But at the same time, humans are curious as to the limits of things like storms. I do not know what the answer is to your question, but I can say that you're not alone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Still moving @ ~14 kts or has it sped up/slowed down?
  3. Yeah I have family that got out of Tampa under the "better safe than sorry" rule. I wouldn't want to risk it, given the nature of the beast that is approaching.
  4. You are a saint for the acronyms at the beginning. As a newbie, it really makes my life easier. Thanks for all of the hard work!
  5. Totally understandable. I'm in the east metro area, and we don't have any flooding on record in my given area given our elevation. Regardless, I find it best to be educated. Thanks again.
  6. I see. Thanks for the detailed info. I'm in Atlanta, so I've never had to deal with any kind of flooding, and new to following wx in general. Shout out to everyone for being so helpful here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Beginner question sorry - where are you guys looking to see this new data and determining landfall etc?
  9. Virgin Island live streams are starting to show some activity. https://codepen.io/alexneises/full/brJvLp/
  10. When can we expect a more definitive model?
  11. Hey everyone, I'm new to the wx scene, and new to this forum so I apologize if this is a redundant topic. I tried to look around and see if there was a form post already on this subject. I am trying to build up a collection of respected weather apps in the community to further increase my understanding of weather in general. As of now, I cross reference MyRadar, NOAA free app, Wunderground, and the iOS weather app. However, I am looking into RadarScope. My only reservation is that I am not quite sure what it is capable of or where to learn what the heck to look at with an app like that. Any suggestions on apps that I should pick up? Thanks!
