  1. Loving those few hours of heavy banding down here before the flip happens. If we can get .1''/hr+ rates that would be optimal!
  2. AKQ really leaning into the warm nose for Southside Hampton Roads in their latest AFD. That's why we weren't upgraded to the WSW.
  3. Thanks! I'd lock that in and call it a success!
  4. Glad models are juicer for y'all away from the coast this morning. I just don't like warm nose on the NAM down here haha
  5. If that verifies (which HRRR, yeah idk) I'd be ecstatic!
  6. 00z Euro doesn't look too terrible for here but I can't see Kuchera on the free Pivotal site
  7. Luckily, I'm a night owl so I can sleep during the day on Saturday haha
  8. Still a pretty wide variety QPF wise between the models. Can't wait for more anxious model runs tomorrow!
  9. That's a really fine line between staying all snow and flipping between IP/SN for Norfolk. Don't like being that close! .
  10. Definitely in a better spot still than you are in NENC. Still doesn't look too impressive to me, but a long way to go. Just feeling a little despondent haha
  11. Starting to look like a slop of a storm down here. Front end thump of snow maybe and then a mix or just a cold rain. Bleh .
  12. Yikes, not great but prefer that over the GFS right now for me .
  13. It was looking good for Hampton Roads until it drove the low through Greenville, NC. Not what we want to see here. Good hit for the interior though
  14. Seems like the trends so far today continue to look good for maybe at least a 2-4 inch snow down here in Hampton Roads. If we're not going to get an amped low south of Hatteras, I'll take a weaker slider. We had some pretty decent snows in January 2022 from some sliders on back to back weekends!
  15. I'd take that in a heartbeat here in Norfolk! Especially after only getting token flakes from this last storm.
  16. Hope to at least see some flakes with the back end deformation band of storm # 1 down here in Norfolk, but dang, loving the potential of next weekend's storm!
  17. 12z GFS is a decent-ish hit for many next weekend. Probably gone by the 18z run though haha
  18. Definitely don't look at the 0z Euro lol the low transfers off the NC coast and pounds the NE states.
  19. Traveling home to Georgia (near Athens) for holidays. Would be ecstatic with that much snow there unless Norfolk gets dumped on like that while I'm gone haha
  20. 00z GFS came in a lot wetter for SE VA this run
  21. 00z ICON showing a coastal with snow in S. Virginia and E. NC for Sunday. It's been waffling between showing and not showing it recently so...
