    Believe it or not but like I said yesterday, we get to do this all over again with almost an exact same track but of course there are differences. One of them being the thermal profiles with the next event should not be an issue, as we start off cold and end colder. its only 5 days out already so Tues-Thurs of next week. Looks to be about 1-1.25" of Liq Equ as of right now but that will change. I don't even know if any other globals are seeing it right now as the GFS is so we'll see.

    Power has just been restored as its been out since 5AM. Just a horrible feeling being without power during an event but its back thank God. 10.5" here as of 5 minutes ago. I'm happy and if these flakes weren't pes sized once again we'd still be accumulating as the temp is down to 29F here North of rt31! Water Vapor image is not looking good for the area as moisture looks to be thinning pretty rapidly so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Sun shines dimly through the cloud afternoon.

    It should start to sag back South within the next couple hrs, I would think, as the coastal takes over and the parent fizzles out.

    Parent SLP starting to fill in now as the coastal takes over. Lets all pray it doesn't rob all the energy thats currently over us.

    Lightning strikes definitely evident on WeatherTap. JUst don't understand why nothing is showing up now when I copy and paste. It always worked before. I got it, lol! Its snowing super hard right now, wow! I hope this band just parks itself over me all night into the wee hrs of the mornin, lol!

    Wow, thats just nuts as I think it snowing hard in KBGM NWS office but their at 1500', but man I would of though you'd be over to snow by now. Just goes to show you just how far North the Parent SLP came and is presently, just to your SW. It was progged to be in SWPA not NCPA, lol so whats 300 miles, lol!

    Stop now, There was no fighting from me as I knew it was gonna snow but Brian got me a bit amped, lol. I will agree, I did not expect anything close to whats occuring right now, and its poised to snow till tomorrow 00Z, lol! You were on this thing from the beginning, we all know kid.

    Best synoptic event for my area since V-Day 2014 I think as that was a goodie. Temp must be below 32F as winds have picked up in earnest and the dendrites are now flying about but before, they were coming straight down! 2.5" down already so SYRMAX is in for a surprise when he wakes in a few hrs, lol, as he was expecting a slushy 1' or 2, lol!!

    Yeah most guidance is adjusting this beast a tick or two Northward it looks like which bodes well for almost this whole sub-forum. I think this may be the first time a swath of over a foot goes clear across the state from KBUF to KALB and from Central Oswego County South to the NYS border where more of a mix will probably occur but not in the catskills and the So. Dacks should get a pounding it would seem.

    Winds are also veering with height which is also adding lift. This could definitely get interesting fast. Everything has closed off further to the North than first anticipated it looks like, as well, but no real difference except maybe for Toronto and our friend OB!

    Silver dollars falling right now and sticking to everything. Whoever said this system is further North than most models had itm you're 100% correct and thats why we are seeing precip amounts going up.

    I didn't think gusts we're included, inte butresting it still has to be sustained at 35MPH for 3 straight hrs correct? If thats the type of storm you guys are experiencing, thats awesome and congrats and I hope we get in on the action as it has just begun to pound here.

    Winds sustained at 35MPH with 1/4 mile vis for three straight hrs? Thats whats happening out thata way, nice!

    Just looked after posting and its now all sn with super parachutes. It won't be long before the deck becomes white along with the grass. We'll have to see how low the temp can go. It'll probably wet bulb down to 30 or so during the heavier returns anephered hopefully stay there and there looks to be an inversion just off the deck which would virtually cap the atmosphere from doing much of anything.
