  1. Worcester, PA.   397 lightning strikes on my counter for a 20 mile radius. Not sure how accurate, but there was a lot of stikes on the map  0.00 in the rain gauge.   Thought I might be wasting my time this AM with watering the flowers, but looks like I made the right call.

  2. Worcester, PA.  My 7 days rain total Sunday thru Saturday is .48".   Still an hour and a half to go, but looks like nothing else coming.  An area on radar looks like it is weakening and also probaly miss to the north anyway.  Kind of the story of hit and miss showers and storms (as told by a miss participant).     2.9" for the month. Grass is not that bad as the numerous days of clouds helped with less drying out.

  3. Worcester, PA.. got up to 96 today.  No rain here. Some rumbles of thunder while the storms passed to our east and south.   Lightning counter shows 5 strikes (supposedly in a 20 mile radius) 3 hours ago.

Lawns are really starting to show it. Only .15 here the whole month of May. There was some rain tonight  (.07 and another station with .05) not too far to the east of my location - maybe 3 miles away.

  4. I think we may be headed for a mess with people not being aware of what appears to be about to happen.  I was out doing some last minute food shopping and the stores are packed. Parking lots full.  The front is through and in Worcester, PA.  the temp has gone from 43 to 34.2 in less than an hour. Fastest drop is occurring now.   Snow coming down sideways. IF and it seems like it is going to happen. the roads freeze over fast - motoroists will have a heck of a time getting home. In my opinion the snow may actually help with traction as compared to just black ice.  On a positive note I did see a Penn Dot truck salting.   Wind have gusted to 32 and power flickered once.

Hope all of you a  great Xmas and have power to enjoy it.
