I just went out to inspect. Trees are icy. No ice on my car. My driveway isn’t the least bit icy. And so weird that after all this rain there is still snow here. (Moon)
-
I’m in Moon. It’s rain. Roads are wet. I’m on the edge of Beaver County.
-
Accuweather says 4-8. NWS says 2-4 in the advisory. And weather.com point and click says 1-2. (In Moon). What a confusing storm.
-
I’m just trying to learn from everyone. It seems to my very inexperienced eye, the kuchera is always way higher totals than what we either expect or end up getting? How come?

I hope it’s a glitch. I’m in Moon, not far from KPIT.

Verszyla just said 4-6 for Allegheny. He said likely about 6 inches.
-
Why time do all the different models run? (The main ones?).
-
I think they are trying to cover their butts after all these bad calls. It’s coming during the day and people will be out and about. Weather.com says 1-3 inches for Moon still. I’m so confused.

46 mph on my roof so far. Shook the entire house. Really makes me wonder what living through a hurricane must feel like.
We have a home on St. John, USVI. If you are interested read some about it-stories from the people who lived through it. We were very lucky we only had some water damage. But listening to the stories of people I know there, it just sounds so surreal. Glass doors and windows were bowing in at our condo. I can’t imagine sitting and watching windows bowing. They say the noises they heard, of metal bending and wind just moaning were terrifying. And the first power to the island wasn’t restored until 52 days later.

White out in Robinson. Roads covered real fast. Wish I’d realized it was going to happen, might not have ventured this way.

I bet just an inch here in Moon. Maybe not quite. But school just closed for the 3rd day in a row!

Dry as a bone in Moon. Should’ve gone to do something fun today since all the kids activities were canceled.
I’m surprised they haven’t canceled the AGC warning.

AFAIK, Al Roker isn't even a meteorologist. He has a B.A. in Communications. The people behind the scenes are probably using the GFS mostly, or some kind of blend.
Right now, though, most of the models aren't on our side if you're looking for heavy snowfall.
He’s not-I looked him up. But Dylan Dreyer is. I prefer her anyway.

So what’s the next storm in the pipeline?
-
Good morning! I’m totally a novice and enjoy reading here and getting excited with all of you! Trying to learn! What model does Al Roker use?! I don’t watch to get my local weather but thought it was interesting to see he only had the northern portions of New England getting big numbers. We weren’t getting much of anything based on his map.
Thanks for the banter! Love reading!

Weather.com already has high guesses for next weekend. I’m sure that’ll all drop by the weekend.

Timing for tomorrow? Is that in play yet? I need to get downtown for 2;00 and back out towards the airport around 4. Then it can snow all it wants!
-
Very very light snow falling in Moon and just a very light dusting. Mostly on roofs and trees.
-
Surely they’ll extend the weather advisory?
-
It’s turned to pelting ice pellets in Moon now.
-
Always right over our area.
Weather.com has Crescent, PA getting 3-5 inches. That’s just changed. I’m stumped.
-
So looks like rain for us?

Just drove home from the Pens game. It was 42 when I left the parking garage. And 31 when I pulled in my driveway in Moon. Grass is covered.
