  1. you mean stuff like this doesn't belong there? or it's ok if you have a green name?
  2. DING DING DING. Exactly what's wrong here. If burger started it this conversation wouldn't be happening. Now mods are deleting threads based on their personal preference. Lovely site.
  3. Well, Vicki Graf WSOC in Charlotte just put out an article saying we can expect a mild, wet winter. http://www.wsoctv.com/news/weather/el-nino-indicates-wet-mild-winter-area/nh3TQ/
  4. Your logic is not welcome here! Seriously, that's what everyone should be looking at. Like what was posted above, even a few of the Miller A storms coming through with cold air in place would make this a great winter for the southeast. Weather is a game of odds, and the odds are better with this pattern than they generally are for any given year. We should have several shots at winter weather this season and it's going to be a ton of fun to track and discuss what's coming down the pipeline. Take that as a win.
  5. Amen to that. it's like a dress rehearsal!
  6. I'm gonna say there's 0% chance of any piedmont accumulation with these ground temps. Pretty surprised Brad P put out a map like that. If anything, people may see some novelty flakes but that's about it
  7. first time I've gone to coolwx this season, and this is what I find on the 6z gfs for KCLT? if this is any indication of how this winter is going to be, this board is going to need a lot more bandwith! I say bring it (as unlikely as it may be) http://coolwx.com/cgi-bin/getbufr.cgi?region=BUOY&stn=KCLT&model=gfs&time=current&field=prec
  8. good write up, I did notice one thing that seems confusing is this not saying the same thing?
  9. People...we live in the south. We will NEVER have a winter forecast that says it will be cold and snowy all winter long. But please continue to cancel winter every time a seasonal forecast doesn't say we'll have 4' of snow and temps in the 20's from December through February.
