Thanks to all the posters. I don't have enough knowledge to contribute to the tracking discussions, but I can at least contribute to the obs. May have picked up an inch overnight, and it is steady light snow this morning. There is enough of a glaze atop the snow that our 7 lb. dog can walk across most of it without sinking if she doesn't jump. This has been a wonderful event for me. Reminded me of my days in Kansas City and Louisville, KY.

Just measured 8 inches at 3 different spots in the yard, and looks like more to come. Tellico Village, Loudon. My point forecast calling for sleet and freezing rain overnight. I don't see how that happens.

I'm at 5 inches here in Tellico Village, Loudon, still snowing big. Saw several cars off the road and others sliding around on 444 on my way back from Lenoir City.

How do you normally do in flow snow set ups? Higher is always better but you need to be in a favorable location for NW flow.
It's a new situation for us, so I'm not sure.

What is the thinking for the lower foothills? I think we're at around 1500-2000' most places around Cooper Gap/Picture Pine in the Pleasant Mountain area of Citico. Is that too low for snow for this one?

Still snowing, medium flakes and rather breezy. Tellico Village, Loudon. Poodle Dog not having it.

Just got back to internet. This was this morning. Measured at 5 1/2 inches most places. This is Mt Pleasant near Citico Creek, Monroe County, about 1500 elevation.

32.6 here this morning already so maybe there will be some melting. Walking the dog was treacherous. Nice glaze of ice on everything and the places on the road that look wet were ice.
