They're expecting the E winds to torch them the same as down here. Waters are a few degrees colder there so not as big an impact but something similar happened in the 2/1/21 storm. I'm sure Waltham only a few miles west of the city will be fine though.
Fished a wreck not too far off Long Beach yesterday, water was reading 50 degrees in 100 feet of water. Members forget how much the ocean influences outcomes.

40 and rainy here at Monmouth shores.

Why not? If I almost get hit by a car, and also was not expecting to be hit by the car, is that not still a miss?
It's flawed logic. Every Atlantic hurricane that fails to make landfall is a near miss for the Northeast? Wish casting gone wrong...

Nam is a smidge better but still a big miss
How is it a miss when most of the area was never a possibility?

This storm seems primed to being the HoCo-MoCo deathband out of retirement.
I was on the water today, ocean is not that cold. Going to fun seeing it set up on the coast.

It's got that "I just landed on from redeye to Orlando at 4am" in the winter feel

I'm not saying I'm bummed we got very little rain in my area so far, but man it's been dry and it's crazy to see the NJ coast nearly nothing this entire time.

Working from home stole the thunder from my sons first snow storm. Hoping it's cool enough for snow down here.
