Is it me or does it seem to be developing more on the north end and extending more north?
I was thinking the same but local authorities are insistent that it's all going south.

Southeast side of Indy is just getting a bit of freezing rain; the roads are still fine with the exception of the overpasses. I don't think we're going to get anything much out of this first round. I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed.

Is surge still any issue or is precip going to be the problem in NYC and surrounding?

In the past hour, NYC’s Central Park received 1.38” of rain. This is the 3rd hourly figure of 1.35” or more this year. That breaks the #record of 2 such days, which had been set in 2006.
The trains are so screwed. No trees left on daughter's street, those went down with Sandy.

TS watch for NYC
My daughter just moved to Brooklyn. She's used to tornadoes here at home and she's basically laughing at me about the TS watch. *sigh*

Indy just got put into the mix of things. We haven't had anything interesting in years as we seem to be in a bubble. Confidence for the forecast??

I'm sorry but the description of the Beech Grove tornado damage is bullsh*t. I'm not arguing that it was only an EF1. Heck, I called that before the first-responders ever made it to the damage. However, "roof damage to a school and house" is ridiculous. Multiple homes have damage, businesses west of the school lost trees and signage, the school was hit hard, the apartment complex that shares the school campus got hit and the photo that's being shared all over social media of Alro Steel is of just one of the larger businesses that received damage. I'm looking at this mess daily so I admit, I'm a little sensitive, and I realize that the reports need to be short and factual but it reads as if they never even visited the affected area.

Onset near/before dawn. Conditions going downhill later Saturday morning into Saturday evening.
Good to know, as I was expecting it to be later in the day. Could be a game changer all the way around. I'll be paying close attention.

I've not seen a lot about the timing of this system and I'm trying to coordinate safe transportation for my staff tomorrow night. I work in an event venue and providing our artist makes it in from Ottowa without a hitch, the show will go on regardless of the weather. Is it still too early to ask when things will start kicking up in the metro Indy area?
~Thanks

The lack of content 5 hours since your post has me on edge. I have family with homes at Las Brisas and friends who work down on the commercial strip. Can't get in touch with any of them. The homes at Las Brisas 'should' be fine but I'm getting nervous.
