It was a nightmare......
Winter of 86-87 was great, IMO - especially for the northern suburbs of Philly. Other winters between '83 and '93 (not including '83 and '93)? Naso much.
Anywho, March is still a winter month and decent snows can happen.

I can believe that the Sunday night into Monday AM event will end up more wintry than wet in our region, but I don't know about Wednesday...that -PNA situation screams very warm cutter.

Did DT bail too early OR is JB just being JB?.... stay tuned!
JB is always JB...but I don't think winter is anywhere near over. Most modeling looks pretty cold after the brief mild-up over the next 5 days.
-
Yeah those JB tweets were from Dec 3 and 4, so those ideas weren't bad (as long as you don't consider "many shovel snow" to include the big cities from DC through Boston).

It won't necessarily be a "blowtorch", but the overall temps are still likely to be at least a bit above normal for the next two weeks.

Regarding DT's map...yeah, the northern cutoff of precip is going to be very sharp. Wouldn't be surprised if the 6" snow line ends up south of us (in other words, south of Spring Mount and Collegeville), based on the 12z suite pushing everything further south vs. previous runs.
