Are we talking complete washouts Thursday through the weekend or mostly cloudy days with scattered heavy showers in spots? 3 day member/guest tournament starts Thursday and really hoping we don't get washed out.

Tomorrow and Saturday will be unseasonably warm with tomorrow being the wwarmer of the two days. Highs tomorrow will likely reah the lower 80s in New York City and mid 80s in the warmest spots. It will turn somewhat cooler on Sunday. A wet pattern is likely Sunday through Wednesday. A significant rainfall is possible, but there remain large differences among the computer models.
The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was -0.3°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was 0.0°C for the week centered around April 23. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged +0.82°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged -0.05°C. Neutral ENSO conditions will likely continue through at least early summer.
Early indications are that summer 2025 will be warmer than normal in the New York City and Philadelphia areas. The potential exists for a much warmer than normal summer (more than 1° above normal).
The SOI was -4.19 today.
The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was +1.598 today.
Is Sunday looking like an all day washout or moreso afternoon?

Still super dense fog here

The first half of March was beautiful, but the first half of March is also winter, not spring. We are only 5 days into spring and it has not been above average here with the exception of one day.
I am mostly referring to (and maybe it's more perception than reality) the fact that we seem to have been having such mild winters only to have spring show up and all of a sudden we lose the mild pattern.

A man fell through the ice the other night in Lumberland. Lets be careful out there.
I am a huge p***** when it comes to ice, lol. If they say 3 is safe, I wait for 6 and other people out there

This wind is really killing ice formation on the reservoirs...still have open water in tons of spots that would typically frozen over at this point if not for the 25+ MPH winds every single day. Really want to get out there and ice fish, been a few years at this point.

Yellow perch? Or white?
Brown trout are typically the target, but pull up plenty of yellow perch in the process

Looking like I'll probably be able to ice fish for the first time in 2-3 years...

TonightA slight chance of drizzle or light rain between 1am and 4am, then a chance of rain after 4am. The drizzle could be heavy at times. Patchy dense fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.Can't say I've seen this before

100% cover of 4 inches down to zilch in less than 24 hours (minus piles)

This was one of the worst positive busts I can remember in a long time. Last checked yesterday evening to see snow changing to freezing rain with accums under an inch.
4 inches later...

Eyeballing about 1.5" or so on cars/grass... coating on driveway, roads wet

Hiked in Harriman today. Patchy snow at the trailhead, 6"at 1000 feet and 12" at 1200 feet. Crazy fast change in snow depth, especially higher up.
Yeah the differences in just a couple hundred feet with this one were crazy.
Drove 84 West today...theres a 970 foot elevation sign just east of the taconic and there was full coverage of several inches.
Just a couple minutes drive either side of the sign was 100% bare.

Today's .03 doesn't seem like much but when it rains just about every day it just stays wet. I'm tired of mushy, soggy everything for weeks and weeks. I'd love 3 or 4 days in a row without rain
Wow that's it there? I'm probably 1-2 miles north of you, don't have a measurement but it was torrential for maybe 10-15 minutes here

As usual storm blew up north and east of rockland
Torrential rain here with lots of thunder/lightning...bit of wind. Just to the north by Carmel town hall looks like they got smoked based off radar.
