It feels like we're approaching the last battle, the new normal "base state" versus an extremely favorable synoptic pattern. I know it takes luck but if it fails to deliver it will be a painful blow.

The whole outdoor wedding trend on farms, in barns, etc. especially during the summer is an unfortunate one. I'm glad I've only had to do one of them as a minister.

We need some happy hour 18z mojo to improve the vibe around here... Until the vibe is crushed at 0z.

I don't have any personal experience but I think Canaan Valley would be added to your list.

March snow is like a pity date with a hot girl. You enjoy it while it's happening, but you know it won't last.

I'm ready for that NW trend, which is usually bad for my area (just south of Lynchburg) to begin any time now.

Only the first DT Tweet would give you that idea. The following tweets on the thread are quite clear he thinks it is basically meteorologically impossible.

Statistical analysis shows that the orange properties have the best ROI for what it's worth, likely due to their proximity to the jail.

Those tiny maps in the Washington Post and Star. Of course dialing 936-1212 but the biggest thing was when Bob Ryan said it was going to snow a lot because he was usually conservative and right. In January 96 when he forecasted 1-2 feet before a flake had fallen I knew we were going to get nailed.

Unless you're going west or just want a ski resort experience I'd go with the Keweenaw peninsula in upper peninsula of Michigan. An average of 200+ inches a year with snow on the ground for several months at a time, pretty scenery. You'd miss out on east coast storms of course.

Reading the comments in the threads from overnight was... interesting. A clusterage of part mass psychosis and mass hysteria.

As a former denizen of the "slums" of South Arlington (two blocks south of Arlington Boulevard) don't pull your North Arlington privilege on me like that. ;-)
