Sorry no direct flights.....just yet!!  However, It really is amazing how many folks have been starting to plan summer vacations and getaways for our fair little township!! The refreshing highlands climate is quickly gaining a faithful following! Come on over before our little secret gets out!!!

Yes. East Nantmeal township is right up there on my destination top ten. Up until about six months ago it was in fifth spot just ahead of India in the summer and just below time travel to Dachau.

I am happy to report it has jumped over the time machine into the camps and is quickly approaching a trip to a high school in Louisiana as an Atheist.

  2. Made it back from cooler Austin late last night (well we flew from Dallas were it as hot yesterday).
It's hot here this week, and we're in NYC this weekend and it looks miserable still then.
    You could always either:

    1) Fly somewhere cooler

    2) Just stay in the cooler levels of the atmosphere

It's interesting that you said that - it's one of the 2 main reasons why we do what we do. Obviously, having the kids over on a regular basis is awesome. And they actually enjoy (pretend?) coming too.

I am the opposite. My fiance has been going to "Sunday Dinner," for longer than I have known her and while I think she enjoys it at times, for just about everyone else it is a hostage situation.

Brats and Brews would probably be a good expenditure of a Sunday lol

ESPN App starts with "Reggie Jackson," and I immediately became sad.

Nooners: Sunny at 80°F. Chamber of F'n Commerce. Second review of the backyard reveals there is no need for trimming at this time.

    Who needs water anyway?

Right. I'm at Lake Tobias this past Saturday and we went down the safari ride to the little woods and the tour guide mentioned how they had a 1,000 gallon water truck that could come down and replenish the drinking water for the creatures. As he said that, we drove past what was about two solid pisses' worth of fluid. Apparently their philosophy is "fuck them animals," because the truck was still hanging out with the other trucks.

After the fairly wet later winter and spring, this drought is definitely stream flow and top-level vegetation based right now.  Stream flow is quite bad though.

The Juniata is a month away from just being another nature trail in quite a few spots.

The West Branch Susky in Curwensville is all but gone.
