Some really low dew points out there tonight. Why aren't we expecting to be chasing single digit lows tonight in central MA?

Does anyone have any low pressure reports for this storm? I see buoy 44490 near St. John, Newfoundland is reporting 934mb, that's the lowest I've seen (without too much effort admittedly).
EDIT: I think this was an anomalous data point as nothing nearby is close to this. The closest I've seen outside of this was about 960mb.

Yeah once that streamer came overhead all hell broke loose. Still going right now. This is prob like 2” per hour stuff. Perfect LES type dendrites. Wind is packing it though so we won’t be getting 25 to 1 ratios.
That was pretty crazy here too.

Picked up a quick covering on grass and concrete, melting on the blacktop. Temp down to 29f.
This has definitely exceeded my expectations. At least 3-4" on the grass and all roads are covered and dangerously slick. Numerous spinouts and cars off the roads locally. Temp down to 27f and periodic moderate snowfall. Rutland, MA @ 1150' msl.

I'm a new lurker here (is that a thing?). I have two interests - storms and severe clear. I like amateur astronomy and I like digging out. If we could have deep snow on full moons, and calm jets on new moons, I'd be very happy! Just a note to say thanks to all of you for informative input, regardless of the outcome!
